Working with Gillies McKinnon, a very giving director, the style in which to shoot this came like an epiphany one night. I knew the script needed to be treated in a completely different way to previous G.Gs', Set against the 'Rivers of Blood' speech by Enoch Powell the script had a visceral tension. I thought of 1968 documentary photography - Time, Life magazine and put the camera on my shoulder for 90% of the time.
