Description
London singer-songwriter Loria Boban presents new Live Video of her song “Funk Lover Soldiers”.
Release: 30th of August, 2019 on YouTube (& Facebook/IGTV).
Loria Boban independently releases the second Live In Studio Video; "Funk Lover Soldiers” on the 30th of August. Her song pays homage to the classic sound of funk with a steady groove combined with a contemporary twist and interesting arrangement.
“Funk Lover Soldiers” was written in 2016, following a series of major events that shifted the face of global politics as we know it. Loria Boban explains “it reflects on the current state of affairs; and how politicians these days tend to lord power over the people, neglecting the power every individual has over politics”. With this song sparking a movement of change, Funk Lover Soldiers provides the soundtrack to a worldwide push to give the voice back to the people, “with a little help of Peace, Love & Harmony.”
Lyrics Extract:
“We’ve come to save you from this world, but we will need you to trust in our words. We gon’ break all of the chains that’s keepin’ you trapped in this crazy game, with a little help of Peace, Love & Harmony. We gonna put this world to shame, but we ain’t doin’ it for the fame, and the nasty leaders will take the blame.”
It’s a protest and coming-together song. Loria Boban hopes to mobilise a positive attitude that we’re all stronger as a team with peace, love & harmony.

About Loria Boban
Born and raised in Sweden, singer-songwriter Loria Boban has gained an unprecedented following in London’s live music scene in the past couple of years by pioneering a new-wave “funky-soul” sound that can best be described as a fusion of funk, soul, R'n'B, rock, and rap. Her raw, lyrical-heavy music has been compared to the unorthodox style that made Prince, Erykah Badu, and Alicia Keys timeless artists.
Her six song debut EP “Moving House” was independently released in November 2018 and features collaborations with Gianluca De Gisi on drums, Eugene Rocque on bass, Sofie Veie on Guitar, Jonny Yeoman on keys and Miranda Ohman on backing vocals. Loria showcases her undeniably unique style with her debut EP, while broadcasting her mission statement: spreading Peace, Love and Harmony. “Moving House” demonstrates one simple fact: the sky’s the limit for Loria Boban’s musical creativity.
