  9. Hi Paul, yes it has. There are threads on here about it. Will you be at Crewe tomorrow night or Lifeline next week? ATB John
  10. I did, Sian did, the crowd danced and applauded, it's the way djing works.
  11. Kev, Try Lifeline this Saturday. ATB John
  12. Atlanta Georgia isn't it. There's a significant Jamaican Community there.
  13. Hang on Len, this thread is titled "Up Front?" Brian was the only Up Front DJ at Lenny's. Apart from a few, the tunes were oldies, good ole midtempo oldies.
  14. Religion is the last refuge of a scoundrel (to paraphrase Samuel Johnson), and a pretty good earner in some parts of the world.
  15. Condolences to all family and friends. RIP Joe.
  16. That's good to read Steve, no doubt right records at the right time. The "Bettye c/up" also went down very well at Rugby in the middle of a set which included Hopkins Brothers, United Sound and Eddie Parker (I'm Gone). Maybe set selection, time and place are important!
  17. That's why he's a multi millionaire!
  18. What time are you on tomorrow night?
  19. Great read. Thanks Mark and John A of course. I was fortunate that our post was delivered fairly early so I had some success, albeit on limited funds, without being too late for school.
  20. Thats a recent issue of the instrumental isnt it?
  21. Wrong film? Any reference to Billy Elliot is a compliment!
  22. What people do or wear is entirely up to them but when they perform for the media as part of a professional promotion then expect comment. John (from 38 inch bags to 38inch waist)
  23. It's contemporaneous, lovely word. Merry Christmas.
