  3. Apparently there's a cracking Northern Soul film coming out soon that will show you all you need to know.
  4. Caveman, Excellent, good luck with this. Is Soul For Heroes formally linked with Help For Heroes, i.e. registered etc. There are advantages (and legal requirements) with formal arrangements such as tax relief, insurance cover, sponsored/free printing, event and equipment hire. Do you maintain and publish proper accounts? Businesses you deal with may donate goods and services for free or at reduced prices if you can provide a registered charity number. They often have an annual charity budget, offset against tax. It may seem a pain but could result in more money in and less out on expenses. What were the gross and net results of previous events?

  8. It's down to personal taste and nowhere is "100 mph, 100%" but I've experienced such nights to varying degrees at Burnley, Lifeline, 100 Club, Redemption Room Prestatyn, Stewartby. Just a few that suit my tastes! There's plenty of other nights/venues/rooms - give them a try.
  9. Go to an "upfront, uptempo" venue and listen/dance/enjoy/headscratch/ask/penscramble/selftext and weep! It's f**king brilliant.
