    Just wanted to thank everyone for their help with the Debutantes ! While scrolling through Record World, found March 26, 1966 to be one of the best weeks for Soul releases. All of these received 4 stars ( the highest rating) Lorraine Chandler "What Can I Do", The Reflections "Like Adam and Eve", Tammy Wayne "Have A Good Time", Tony Hestor "Just Can't Leave You" and the Olympics "Mine Exclusively".

    Not 100% sure but I think the styrene presses all would be #1's- where the writing starts under the colored lines. It seems like all the vinyl copies had more info on the label and had the writing through the colored lines. (#2, #3) .

    I just checked the definition of typo in the dictionary and it says "an error (as of spelling) in typed or typeset material" Don't think it has anything to do with different pressing plants changing the type of font used.

    Found 2 articles that should be of interest. The March 12th issue has an article on One-Derful Recordson page 46. The April 16th issue has "The Golden World Story" on page 21. This article mentions a new group they just signed- The Debutantes (??). At first I thought they meant the Debonaires but that group had been with the label for awhile. Does anyone know anything about the Debutantes on Golden World?

    These 2 also jumped out- in the May7, 1966 issue, George Blackwell "Can't Lose My Head" got a 3 star review and was described as "perfect for 1966 dancing styles". Christine Cooper got a 4 star review for "Heartaches Away My Boy".

    Just looked at the May 13, 1967 issue of RW- both Jimmy Mack "My World Is On Fire" and the Younghearts "Little Togetherness" received Four Star reviews !! Who would have thought that ?

    Where is this "typo" ???? Also- I don't know why you would think this was a photocopied label. If you look at the logo on the grey styrene copy , The Revilot is lower and the line underneath the logo is at a different angle. If this was photocopied wouldn't it look exactly the same ?

    The reason I thought something was wrong with "Somebody..." was because the ZTSC info has the scratched matrix instead of the usual ZTSC stamped matrix.

    Here's a picture of my vinyl copy of "Open..." next to a styrene press of "Somebody (Somewhere Needs You)" . The color of the label is lighter on "Open..." and the line underneath Revilot is higher up and at more of a slant. I just noticed my styrene copy of "Somebody..." also has the scratched in matrix info. Now I'm really confused.....

    There was a SS topic about this a few years back- "Darrell Banks Our Love.... Grey issue or DJ". I live in the States and have two vinyl copies (both cutouts ) of "Open The Door..." one grey and one pink. I always thought they were legit. I would say at least 90% of the "Open... " copies that I've seen were styrene.

    A vg++ promo sold for $510 (USD) in Oct. of 2017 An issue in vg+/ Vg++ sold for $464 in 2015.

    Just about every Staple Singers hit from "Heavy Makes You Happy" to "City In the Sky" was made in Muscle Shoals.

    ** Arthur Conley- "Sweet Soul Music" sounds like Sam Cooke's "Yeah Man" ** Christine Cooper- "Heartaches Away" has a strong Supremes feel - lots of "Back In My Arms Again" ** Tina Britt's "The Real Thing" obviously influenced by the Vandellas' "Heatwave" ** Richie Adams "I Can't Escape From You" influenced by Marvin's "Ain't That Peculiar" ** not sure if these are "common features" or "coincidences"

    The Ambassadors "Too Much Of A Good Thing" and Danny Monday "Baby Without You" The Temptones- "Girl I Love You" and The Ringleaders "Baby What Has Happened To Our Love" Just noticed Velvet and The Quads have the same writers and producers so I think they just changed the lyrics.

    Velvet's "Bet You If You Ask Around" sounds an awful lot like the Quadrophonics' "Betcha If You Check It Out".
