  4. From the Ashford / Simpson / Armstead team -
  5. According to an article in "Soul Survivor", Jo mentions Ruby Andrews "Casanova" and all of Garland Green's work with Jo as being cut in Detroit. I think all the Armstead / Terry output was done in Detroit.
  6. Jo as an Ikette in 1962 -
  7. Produced by Jo and Mike Terry -
  8. Written and produced by Jo -
  9. Manager John Lewis, Phil Chess, Ralph Bass and Etta on the cover of Cashbox -

  11. Her 1st 45 under its original title before the change to "The Wallflower" -
  12. Rita Dacosta- 252 pounds Communicators and Black Experience Band - 117 pounds
  13. I don't think RCA Victor "bypassed" it's promotion stage. I think they just sent out black stock copies as promos. Once in awhile, you can find one like this which reads "Many Thanks Stan Pat" who did do promo work for RCA. Whether or not anyone would consider this a promo is debatable.
  14. Just to clarify- are you saying RCA didn't release promos before 1954 ? Here's one from 1951-
  15. I think the 45 came out in late 2019. New Zealand Soul (?) -
  16. Superb Philly Soul from the group -
  17. I would say your copy is an original release. I've seen other copies with the larger print (see pic below) but discogs has both of them as originals. Not sure what someone means about the longer series as both labels show the release info for the "I'm The Man" side as Fraternity 1002 B .
