  1. Of course you can- feel free to use them.
  2. Great article - one minor detail . Clyde Mcphatter had left the group sometime in '54 or '55 and been cutting solo singles since then . I doubt if many Drifters fans gave the new Drifters group a frosty reception because Clyde left the group ( and having big chart success) 3 or 4 years earlier.
  3. I found this in the June 1983 (#83) and June 1984 (#101) issues of Goldmine-
  4. Edwin Starr "S.O.S."/ "I Have Faith In You"- U.K. Polydor demo - 1060 pounds .
  5. Edwin Starr's "S.O.S."/ "I Have Faith In You" on a U.K. Polydor demo just finished at 1060 pounds on Mr. Manship's web site.
  6. I'm about 99% sure that both the issue and promo copies are both styrene. The only differences between the 2 would be the promo using black print for the song info and the issue using red, and the "Bunky's Pick" on the "It's My Thing" side.
  7. I'm not sure this is the same John Hillyard, but there was someone working for Kim Fowley. This is from Billboard's 1970/ 71 International Buyer's directory -
  8. I'm pretty sure Reggie Lamont was Tony Daniels.
  9. Here's a few more with John L. publishing credits -
  10. Hard to find anything on Jimmy. I did find this article from the Oct. 30, 1965 issue of Billboard -
  11. The 45 auction for Sammy ends Oct. 27th. Currently at 399 pounds.
  12. If you're going for best value for the money, this one is hard to beat -
  13. Here's 2 more with Yancey credits -
  14. Look again- Robb K. got credit for the solution.
  15. If that's true, how did the person who said it doesn't even sound like Ramsey Lewis get credit for providing the solution ?????????
  16. I'm confused- if it wasn't the Chocolate Boys "Voltaire Pier" what song was it ??
  17. This was a Belgian/ French group -
  18. Also, by the time Brenda completed "Lonely Boy" (according to the DFTMS , it was December 28, 1964), there was no Jobete Music New York in existence. I don't have an exact date, but I believe the offices were closed shortly after the "My Guy" bootleg situation was discovered. And, as you can see Raynoma was busy getting Shrine off the ground in early December 1964-
  19. Here's Shrine F -
  20. The final price on Betty Wilson- 3315 pounds.
  21. Here's another one for the list - Vandelettes on Mellow-Town #1009 -
  22. The writers credits make it look like a different song -
  23. Mellow Town #1006 is "Keep It Up" / "Love" by the Strings.
  24. Early copies of the 45 have different publishers- Motown probably noticed the similarities between the two and asked for publishing credits.
  25. I'm about 99% sure the Ivanhoe Walter Scott is a different artist- I think this is the same person who recorded as Fortson and Scott for the Pzazz label.
