Was La Beat the original release?
Is it my ears or does the La Beat copy have a very slight dip about 2-3 secs in.Always wondered if this had something to do with the Palmer release?

Unfortunately not .......
The Nuremberg Rallies (officially Reichsparteitag , meaning national party convention ) was the annual rally of the NSDAP
( Nazi Party ) in the years 1923 to 1938 in Germany , especially after Hitler's rise to power in 1933 , They were large propaganda events by the state . The Reichsparteitage were held annually at the Nazi party rally grounds in Nuremberg from 1933 to 1938 and are thus usually referred to in English as the Nuremberg Rallies . .........
After 1933 , the rallies were held in the first half of September , under the label of Reichsparteitage des deutschen Volkes ( "National Congress of the Party of the German People ") , which was meant to symbolize the solidarity between the German people and the Nazi Party . This point was further emphasized by the yearly growing number of participants , which finally reached over half a million from all sections of the party , the army and the state .......
My TIC reply was in respect of Paul S asking how a venue can be advertised , i.e. " Bigger than the Nuremberg Rallies " ........

Me and my family have several copies of Lester Tipton's record and we got them from Lester Tipton. Lester was my uncle and he would have been floored knowing that his record was going for so much money.
He got murdered in the 80's and that was such a bad time for me and my family because he was such a wonderful man and he brought so much joy to our lives and I still miss him to this day.
Your Uncle has given us a lot of joy on the dance floor over the years - nice to hear from you (albeit with that sad news)

Funny how Marvin Jones got renamed and Derek never did, might be an image thing.
I guess he was positioned.

I always thought I was an Ok dancer, but one night at a casino anniversary my mates pushed me on the stage (go on Smivee you can win it go on) I thought if I win how will I get that stereo system home on the train.
It was strange listening to the music from on the stage, all the faces peering at and you couldn't tell at first what the record was it was so echoey.
Anyway I came second or third to Vernon, shown up or what
The records 2 out of the 3 were Eula Cooper Let Our Love Grow and Johnny Taylor Friday Night.
Those two are toughies on the floor at the best of times.Well done, admire your courage.

Phil Coulter who co wrote all Kenny's hits wrote most BCR hits, 2 Eurovision winners and Cliff's congratulations.
He also (don't let the Credibility Police know) had a hugh record on the Northern Scene in 1976 with Good Thing Going evidence attached (ignore the spelling mistake in the name)

One of my all time fave instrumentals. That tune has class. Can't choose between PC and Al de Lory as to which is the most underplayed tune on the planet.
Listen up, when they eventually get sorted out on Mars the real info coming back won't be they have water it will be that they've been playin' Al de Lory all along!

Thomas gave us the light.

Good & Cheap - the magic mixture! Don't know where you live but I believe a trip to a specialist shop where they have loads of tunes and a deck or two is worth every penny.
Thing to remember is that we all have different tastes and you will find your groove on a mission like that, where I am sure you will find more than enough willing people to guide you.
You have started with an awesome base with that CD.
Good Luck

Well I'll tell ya somethin' if I had realised they had corned beef sandwiches??? at the back of that record room I wouldn't have wasted any of my hard earned on them stupid vinyl 7" things at that "The" Wigan Casino!!
If I had come back from Wigan dressed like POG (after sneakin' off there anyway) my Old Man wouldn't have wasted his time on a good bollik*n he would have taken the easier route and rang some people in white coats and had me institutionalised!!

Mickey Valvano was involved in producing Motown acetates so ya never know who's had their mitts on it!!
Paul
-
Been thinking about this acetate and it has raised a question for me - perhaps somebody can assist.
Do people have other Motown acetates to compare the general style/layout as I am intrigued by this Att B G Jnr.
Does this stand for:
Attendance/Attention?
The reason I ask this is because B G Jnr was apparently responsible for scrapping the orig press and i don't understand if a) he was in attendance how it got to a press before he scrapped it
b)if it was attention BG Jr did it get delayed getting to him(allowing the press to continue) on purpose to strenghten Frank Wilsons' hand in some sort of negotiating tactic.
Anyone with any info appreciated.
Thanks

Produced for the Irish market I recall!!!! Note the religious link on the label -St Lawrence is the patron saint of backdrops.
If memory serves me right it was withdrawn because they forgot to put the 'O' between Johnny & Sayles!

Cheers Martin,you have mail!
Didn't this come out on a Marble Arch Lp as well?
Matt the Edward Hamilton is a completely different song.
Not played the WP record for yonks but recall it is a Bridge/Knight/Eaton composition - are you sure it is a totally different song??? Thought EH was same writers so assume it's the same song albeit in a different style.
