  2. Don't know if this confuses the issue or confirms anything - had this on a Bell Sound test pressing with STR detailing on the label but the test pressing label was covering up a PartyTime one underneath! Paul
  3. Our Kid

    Smash

Not heard the sound for a good while but seem to recall he said something like When You Left Me The Pain It Was Macho Macho. Hope this is close enough to help you Paul
  4. Are we sure Terry Waite wasn't searching for this when he was there! He was there a long time - all that rubbish about being kidnapped!!!!! Stunna!
  5. If you weren't a dancer at wigan you could be pretty damn critical of Russ's delivery. As a dancer - took the rough with the smooth, but always reckoned Russ was more bothered about a heaving floor rather than the up yer ass politics of who had what etc. Spun many a fine 'dance tune' over the years - Johnny Dynamite - The Night The Angels Cried stands out for me. Paul
  6. Seem to recall seeing a Ken Williams recently on an auction with the artist listing as simply KW - 'majin that's a tuffy ta find!! Paul
  7. Interestingly there is a reworked version of NYGTUH with a good bitta oomph on the CD - best of Candi Staton - Suspicious Minds.Rest of the CD ain't bad either. Paul
  8. PM'd you Paul
  9. Gloria & The Tiaras to go to a good home! Atmospheric Detroit At Its Best Betty Mint 400.00 Paul
  10. Your Autumn Of Tomorrow - The Crow? Paul
  11. Hi Reverend - truly an honour for us! Whilst I realise you didn't write the song IDLTL,could you illucidate on the general aim of the record. I was led to believe it was intended as a message to wayward youth (funny that we embraced it so passionately!!) Thanks in advance. Paul
  12. This selection (assuming orig. tracks) is probably the best mainstream offering I have seen in terms of depth of range and stunning quality. Sure you need the youth club faves to hook 'em in when they're looking at the back of the cd cover but the hope that someone will buy it for say Frankie Valli and grow to like Thumb A Ride/Tearstained Face etc has gotta be an improvement for the world - come on now! Also you would be surprised at the number of people who bought cd's with those poxy cover versions and believe them to be the originals so this may give them an opportunity to educate themselves. Paul
  13. Sho was - sounded good dinnit! Paul
  14. Damon Fox - whoah that intro! Johnny Honeycutt Paul
  15. Be hard to beat those two starters for 10 but i'll lob in: Chris/Marke Jackson - I'll never forget you/Since you've been my girl The Volumes Trouble I've seen/That same old feeling Now then, that Volumes trouble tune is well 'ard - bitta old skool 4 yas
  16. What an ace tune - c'est la vie! Paul
  17. Ritchie - it really is worse than that! My baby turned a chip and said we've no time to lose I said good and baby that's a groove.WTF we danced all night on fish & chips then we headed for this place called home. I honestly still think this is a made up record - please somebody convince me that i'm wrong. Paul
  18. Souldham - Queen Elizabeth Hall Brighouse Ritz (Probably the best on the scene - check out the carpentry on that floor if you're there) Paul
  19. Marsha Gee - Baby I Need You Paul
  20. Surprised these two haven't figured (unless I missed 'em going through) True Love...............Can Be So Hard To Find There Sure Was Something..........Said About That Day Paul
