  1. I wonder if the kids at school ever called Winfield that!
  2. Wow! So far, the award for the worst quality control department has to go to Loma. (Does LOMA stand for Lot's Of Mistakes Always)
  3. Now that took me a few looks to spot "the the" error!
  4. I was looking at the Freddie C sale/auction listing. I notice that on the B side, "Baby I'm Sorry" it reads "Baby 1'm Sorry". They used a number 1 instead on a capital "i". This made it through from demo to issue. I'd never noticed this before. Any others that I should have noticed? ( I'm sure there are some famous one's) Cheers KB
  5. I think it's great!! Both sides. Reminds me of good times - way before things got so serious!
  6. Hi, Here are scans of my copy. All of the numbers in the deadwax are scratched in. The QCA side has K - 11440 - 11. Then a quarter turn along has AT. Directly opposite the AT is scratched a W The other side has K - 11437 - 11. Then the same AT and W as above. There may be some other very feint markings which would be difficult to describe. I only have this copy and so can't help on the other versions as per Discogs. https://www.discogs.com/master/525244-The-Soul-Twins-Quick-Change-Artist-Give-The-Man-A-Chance I hope that helps and good luck. Cheers KB
  7. It looks like there are a few on Popsike https://www.popsike.com/php/quicksearch.php?searchtext=fabulous+carousels&sortord=dprice&pagenum=1&incldescr=&layout=&sprice=&eprice=&endfrom=&endthru=&bidsfrom=&bidsthru=&ovrsug=&flabel=&fcatno= £15 - £89 range Cheers
  8. On 19th August 2020, John sold a Frank Beverly on the Greek label on his auction. There is 1 week in August 2020 which I couldn't find as Mr Z was away and had asked someone else to post. I do like odd releases of classic NS records, but I can't remember Chubby C on greek - but I'm certainly not saying that there isn't one. All the best
  9. I know nothing! But, perhaps the RECORD if from 1976. I think Sam was playing stuff like the Ellingtons in 1976. Just a guess and I could be getting it all wrong. Cheers.
  10. Hi, Here's a thread about it from a few weeks ago with all the answers. All the best,
  11. I wouldn't be interested either. You can type "Northern Live" into youtube and see some of their performances. The Snake, The Night, I'm on my way, Do I Love You, etc. They seem to attract a good size audience. However, based on the youtube vid's, you can make your own mind up if they would be in the running for the title of "THE BEST". Also, a bit of an eyeopener if you type "Northern Soul Band" into yourtube to see who they would be up against! There seem to be a number of others having a go at it.
  12. I've just checked the Feedback of the seller. The buyer apparently left very positive comments and feedback.. "Superb product and great quality service"
  13. Good Spot JB. As an additional bit of background information.... I telephoned Tim Brown (MK's business partner) to ask if he knew about this. Tim was kind enough to spare the time to add a little to the story. Tim wasn't aware of this particular pressing. He said it may have been something Martin K had ordered prior to them being business partners. However, he did mention another pressing that had been done for Martin. The pressing of the vocal was done. But the son of Doc K added Bongo's to the track. Apparently to "bring it up-to-date"! As the NS community want everything as authentic as possible, I gather the pressing wasn't greeted well. Here's the "Bongo Version" from Youtube. Make up your own mind....
  14. Thanks for the reply Nick. It will be interesting to see if others are "drip-fed" on ebay or various bidders get a "second chance" offer. With the info that Nick supplied, I wonder how many people would be interested in getting a copy.
  15. I watched the go through ebay this weekend. Very odd! https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Northern-Soul-DE-TO-45-record-Ronnie-Mcnier-SITTING-IN-MY-CLASS-DS-2284-MINT-/275262512349?nma=true&si=M%2FbdssumtEbyEtY0jxGRvUdYHiU%3D&orig_cvip=true&nordt=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557 Seller claimed it had been "found in an attic in Detroit in original sleeve". Is this a well known about boot/reissue? It looks nice and new Ronnie's surname is spelt wrongly on the label. The B side is listed as Emanuel Taylor - Jealous Heart. I assume this should be June Taylor, Emanuel wrote the song. I'm not sure why these 2 records would be put together. Has someone dropped a B*****k Or have they got a $332.79 bargain obscure issue? I'm surprised no-one else has mentioned it as there were about 50 "watchers"
  16. Hi, Beatin' side is :- 67-3091 B (scratched in) then a space followed by what looks like 4 machine stamped dots : : then another space followed by what looks like a stylized SW (again scratched in) There is another squiggle after that which is small and hard to make out.
  17. Hi, Here's a scan of mine. Is this the other design you mention?(hope it's not a BOOT!)
  18. Apologies, I'd never heard of Strange Voice. I'll have a look on Youtube
  19. Apologies if I've missed this being covered in this or another thread (as I often do) but... Is there a stock copy of Youngblood Smith about? If so, it would be nice to see a scan. Thanks
  20. Is there a Youngblood Smith Verve issue? Or has it been mentioned before? I've never seen one, but then, I'd only seen 1 scan of Dee Dee Barnes before this thread!
  21. I've also seen that with Danny White issues - 2 sizes of font
