  1. Yes, in my opinion, you do have an original. It's simply a different layout.
  2. My copy is the other layout. It has the word "sterling" machine stamped in the run-out area. It's small and may be hard to see at first. It should be diagonally opposite to the "BUD5436" which I can see on your copy. Have a look at your record. I'm not saying that if it's not there you have a boot, just something that may be helpful. Cheers KB
  3. Good luck with the new job James.
  4. Hi Roger, PM sent, Cheers, KB
  5. Hi All, I'm still looking for an original demo in nice condition. Please send a message if you have a copy to sell. Thanks Kev Bod
  6. Still looking! Please let me know if you have a copy for sale. Include price and condition via PM. Thanks KB
  7. Hi, thanks for posting. Yes, I saw that. But it looks like they have just 13 ratings and the username is Kriminal K ! The name and low ratings put me off (I'm, not saying there's anything wrong with them) Cheers KB
  8. Hi All, Please contact me via pm if you have an original Demo of Vickie Baines - Country Girl, for sale. Please include condition and the price you are looking for. If possible, please send a picture/sound file Cheers Kev Bod (I'll see how this request goes and may put up some other wants over the next few weeks)
  9. Very sad news. RIP Dave, Bod and Nicky Not sure how to add, but here's an old photo from Harpo's Soul Source gallery. (fingers crossed)
  10. I've just noticed this on Youtube and I thought it was interesting. I wasn't previously aware of it.. Chris/Christopher Cerf of Sweet Music fame, wrote loads of songs for Sesame Street! Here's a news item in which he's interviewed. I like Sweet Music but know that lot's of folk don't agree. Also, there was a brief/related thread on here back in 2004.

  11. Hi Mike, I like the eBay feature. It's highlighted things I hadn't spotted previously. I'm not sure how detailed or refined you could make new features. The only things I can think of would be "Newly Listed" and/or "Buy-it-now". Perhaps a section of "Newly listed buy-it-now". Or just including items over a certain amount value? Just thinking out loud really! I've always wondered how the section works. Sometimes, randomly, there's a whole list of things like Rockabilly. Does it work on what members have been viewing on eBay? Anyway, I'm glad it's there. Cheers KB
  12. Thanks Mike. Please keep doing it. "Nobody ever said it was going to be easy"!!!!!!!
  13. It was a black issue. Most seem to be white demo's. Strangely enough, I bought a white demo on ebay 10 days ago for £36.
  14. I wonder if that would work to de-warp a record if you left it on a flat surface such as glass?
  15. Nice one. Should have been on the BETHLEHEM label !!!
  16. I wonder if the kids at school ever called Winfield that!
  17. Wow! So far, the award for the worst quality control department has to go to Loma. (Does LOMA stand for Lot's Of Mistakes Always)
  18. Now that took me a few looks to spot "the the" error!
  19. I was looking at the Freddie C sale/auction listing. I notice that on the B side, "Baby I'm Sorry" it reads "Baby 1'm Sorry". They used a number 1 instead on a capital "i". This made it through from demo to issue. I'd never noticed this before. Any others that I should have noticed? ( I'm sure there are some famous one's) Cheers KB
  20. Hi Julian, play the instrumental.
  21. I think it's great!! Both sides. Reminds me of good times - way before things got so serious!
  22. Hi, Here are scans of my copy. All of the numbers in the deadwax are scratched in. The QCA side has K - 11440 - 11. Then a quarter turn along has AT. Directly opposite the AT is scratched a W The other side has K - 11437 - 11. Then the same AT and W as above. There may be some other very feint markings which would be difficult to describe. I only have this copy and so can't help on the other versions as per Discogs. https://www.discogs.com/master/525244-The-Soul-Twins-Quick-Change-Artist-Give-The-Man-A-Chance I hope that helps and good luck. Cheers KB
  23. It looks like there are a few on Popsike https://www.popsike.com/php/quicksearch.php?searchtext=fabulous+carousels&sortord=dprice&pagenum=1&incldescr=&layout=&sprice=&eprice=&endfrom=&endthru=&bidsfrom=&bidsthru=&ovrsug=&flabel=&fcatno= £15 - £89 range Cheers
  24. On 19th August 2020, John sold a Frank Beverly on the Greek label on his auction. There is 1 week in August 2020 which I couldn't find as Mr Z was away and had asked someone else to post. I do like odd releases of classic NS records, but I can't remember Chubby C on greek - but I'm certainly not saying that there isn't one. All the best
  25. I know nothing! But, perhaps the RECORD if from 1976. I think Sam was playing stuff like the Ellingtons in 1976. Just a guess and I could be getting it all wrong. Cheers.
