  1. Just checked. USA ABC - Earl Jackson - no. 11142 USA ABC - Eddie Holman (I surrender)- no. 11149 Lebanon ABC - Earl Jackson - no. 802 Lebanon ABC - Eddie Holman - no. 807 On that basis with the EJ coming out in USA 7 numbers before EH in the 60's, it seems to tie up with the Leb. EJ being 5 numbers before EH. Seems pukka but I wouldn't want it! (but I'd still like a USA one!) (I'll get me anorak on now and try to cop a few more train numbers and Eddie Stobbart lorries before bedtime)
  2. I'm sure Mick Holdsworth had one of those Eddie Holmans for sale a couple of years ago - I remember seeing it at the Connaught. Quite disctinctive memory as Sandi stuck it up her blouse at one point!! He was selling it for about £50 as I recall. Think you were there that night as well Pete. There was no rush to buy that one. The Earl Jackson is a bit different but I still wonder about 60's/70's thing and I'd be reluctant to put a wedge of cash out on it. Bo Diddley (tight-wad and cynical git)
  3. This was put up for sale a week or so ago. I seem to recall the opening bid required was £500. Looks like it sold for £500 after 22 bids??? Strange. https://www.popsike.c...0521190592.html I have been after a real Earl Jackson but wasn't sure if this was a 70's release made at the same time as the UK 70's release to meet Northern Soul demand over here. Personally, wouldn't buy this 45 with that doubt in my mind and at that price.
  4. Thanks Tommy, I'll check out "Work Out"
  5. Not sure where mine's from - Belgium? Dutch?

  10. Here's a pic of mine. I was advised by JM that it was a 70's boot!
  11. $122.50 At current ebay exchange rate = £76.61. As I recall there are a couple of label designs that impact on price. Mine is the "star" design. The one sold was the plain blue one. The other side now seems to be the "current" sound. KB.
  12. Thanks Ken, Weird and interesting!! I think Mac could have done with Katie to calm him down!
  13. How about.... The Dells - Wear It On Our Face.

  15. With all the recent "unpleasantness", I thought I'd highlight a good purchase/sales experience with a Soul Source member. After a recent visit to USOS, as usual, my wants list was increased! After a search on ebay for a couple of months and then getting "sniped" on the wanted 45, I spotted it for sale on the Anoraks Corner website run by Dave Flynn. The price was right and I e-mailed Dave. Despite the fact he's in JAPAN, he got straight back to me, was more than fair with the postage costs and the deal was agreed. As I was off on holiday, I asked him to hold postage for a week until I returned. We returned last weekend. Dave e-mailed on the Sunday and said he would post ( from Japan) on Monday 24th August. The disc was delivered in "Bomb-Proof" packaging on Wednesday 26TH just 2 days later!! It actually arrived by special delivery, before 9am, beating the usual post. I'd just like to thank Dave and recommend the website and service to anyone who hasn't tried it yet. https://www.anorakscorner.com/ Thanks again Dave
