  1. I didn't realise that both you and Mr Anka were that way inclined! Still each to their own Quote Mr C "I thought Harley Hatcher sounded great then, and I got a shag thanks to Paul Anka once........ "
  2. My time was late '77 to early '81. Enjoyed ALL my visits for one reason or another. Usually some sort of adventure or incident going on! Where are Teddy Vann and James Coit anyway!!
  3. The only matrix markings on the GOODTIME/Spider Turner record are scratched in as follows: - G - 1019 - A There is also a very, very feint, L W Cheers Kev Bod
  4. Hello All, Just another quick "bump" on this one after 3 days to bring it back onto page 1 of wants. If anyone has a copy, please pm with condition and price. Thanks
  5. WHAT!!!!!!!!! I still want to pay 1978 prices please
  6. Fingers crossed, something will turn up. Strange, but it's one of those tunes that I thought was OK when it was first played, but wasn't at the top of my list. BUT over the years, I've found I like it more and more. It's only took me about 36 years to get round to making an effort to find one!!
  7. Another "bump" up the list for this one please. If you have a copy for sale, please PM with price and condition. Thanks
  8. Just a quick "Bump" on this. Anyone with a copy for sale?
  9. Looking for an Arctic Demo copy of Kenny Gamble - The Jokes On You. I would prefer one in nice clean condition. Please PM with details including condition and price and I'll say Yes or No Thanks! Cheers Kev Bod All sorted now, thanks
  10. Reggie Saddler Combo - Hear My Song. Pretty brisk!! https://youtu.be/4d4q12RU4EY
  11. Hi, I bought the boot/reissue with the staggered archer stamp in the 70's and still have it. Last year, there was an issue for sale on eBay from a seller of mixed styles of music who didn't post outside the USA. Boba (member on this site) kindly bid for me and posted the record over. It doesn't have the archer stamp, but I know what you mean about "feeling" kind of right!. The vinyl on the run in is nice and smooth but the archer stamped boot/reissue has a slight dimpled/uneven look. Last years copy has a bit of writing on it (a date) and a felt pen "X". I know this can be added to make things look "real" but the seller and person they got it from clearly had no interest in selling to the UK. I'm happy to accept that it as another re-issue but would not be suprised either way. All the best.
  12. Jimmy Thomas - No Trouble/Springtime - UK Spark. I bought this from "Blue Max" Millward's shop in the late 70's. It was in amongst his old collection that had been cherry picked and sifted many times. I bought it (about £1 or £2) in my search for "something different" . Basically, no-one else had wanted it after he sold up. Max told me that he'd played "No Trouble" at the Cats a few times. It's still in the cardboard cover with his writing on!! Anyway, it's never really struck me as anything special. Last year, I noticed a copy go through eBay for £150+!! I was suprised but put it down as an auction fluke. I watched another on eBay this week finish at about £135!! Also, it's appeared in the "wants" section on the site. It seems to be the "Springtime" side that gets the attention. Is/has this been getting plays? Is it more a "mod" record? Just interested as I wouldn't have thought it a 3 figure record - but I think everything should be much less . 13. The only one I have is the Steve Karmen - Breakaway EP done for Pontiac Motors. 6 tracks. I think I've seen one on eBay a few times by Sidney Barnes promoting a Furniture Shop or something! I assume there'll be some Motown type stuff done Cheers Kev Bod
  14. There were these types.... see post 56 on previous thread Earning a bit of overtime??
  15. Well I like Dalton, James and Sutton !!!!!!!!!!
  16. Interesting that. JM put up a Youtube entry on the Itzy label. When I saw it, I assumed that Itzy must be pre-swan. Is this one of the few entries of his of a re-issue https://youtu.be/B72ff0aNt2E
  17. Ted, I don't think the winning bid has to be topped to extend the time. I think that the new bid, even if it doesn't exceed the leaders max, triggers the extended "thinking time". This means that someone who has not bid enough has chance to re-think and bid more. Hence, the "auction fever" has time to take hold! I like the JM auctions as it means you are not subject to "snipes". Also, I don't think there is an easy "bid retraction". You either just dump in your max bid any time before (Days or weeks) like with ebay and let things take there course, or get involved at the end. Ebay with the "snipes" in effect becomes a "sealed bids" type effort. Kev Bod.
  18. In December 2008 it sold for £306 and in May 2012 it sold for £433.
  19. Just checked, it's Chile and plays at 45. (now being shouted at and dragged away as it is essential that I go to the shops and apparently, it won't be as bad as I'm expecting)
  20. Might be or Argentina/Chile. Can't remember what it was described as when I got it. I'll have a look later as I'm about to have a "shopping experience" inflicted on.
  21. Agreed. Discuss was always my fav from the old days as a "yoof". By the way, I've got that demo and some sort of South American Yellow OKEH thing with the Brit style centre. Looks really groovy! (I think £100 is a great price considering some of the tat that sells for that and MORE these days)
  22. The price and desirability could have benefited from the attention that "Get Down With It" has received. ( can't keep from thinking of SLade when I hear that!!) Personally, I'd have thought £100 - £125 but wouldn't be suprised to see much less or lots more on eBay auction. Full on, up tempo "rocker"!! KB
  23. Hi, Is that the one that was on eBay last year? I remember playing the sound file at the time. I love those sort of things as you seem to get a feel of what was going on at the time. Nice one One of my favorites. Kev Bod
  24. Patrice Rushen - Forget Me Nots.. https://youtu.be/W2XhhuM9GZo Taste of Honey - Boogie Oogie Oogie https://youtu.be/GL31cfOD7oc Finally, obviously not female vocal (Luther!) Change - Searchin' https://youtu.be/gr94VZKZNWE
  25. There are a few similar to the auction 45 on Popsike.
