  1. Didn't he auction this in July 2015 and get £190? /forums/topic/338002-john-manship-auction-results-1-7-2015/
  2. I've noticed that Berry Gordy is a guest on the Graham Norton Radio 2 show next Saturday, 3rd October 2015. It seems to be to ahead of the Motown musical stage show - "Motown the Musical". https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b06f3437
  3. A green one finished on the JM auction last week. It's still there to see with the description. Might be worth having a look to compare.
  4. There are few things to keep in mind here. 1. You could mention to this seller that, although you feel that would be out of order, "2 can play that game" 2. If they did bid, it could push up the finish price that a genuine bidder pay's - thus a good result for You! 3. Just take no notice of someone being childish.
  5. Also, with the 70's boot, the volume on the intro goes down for a brief moment. Have a look at the one Tim Brown has for auction to see if you get any more info. All the best, Kev Bod (p.s. If it's orig and for sale, let me know )
  6. What!! Even the Pink the Pink One for £55!!!!!!!!
  7. Selling out via eBay very quickly!
  8. Hi Dave, I've just emailed this scan. Hope it's OK, if not, just delete. All the best Kev Bod
  9. I'd also be interested in finding out more on this. The Blue copy above went for about £1,000 on eBay yesterday.
  10. This any good? Let me know if you need the other side or without the sleeve Cheers Kev Bod
  11. I liked Elliot Small at Wigan, but ....... about 37 years on and in the cold light of day... However, on the PLUS side, nice to see someone has found some film of Mr. M's and some of the dancing to add to the youtube version.
  12. There may be some truth in this. Currently on eBay, there's a copy of Lou Ragland on ERIC with bidding at over................................£205!!!!!! (SS member selling, must be very happy - good luck )
  13. The 70's Boot/"Reissue" was styrene. The original Demo and Issue are vinyl.
  14. Spotted this on popsike. The seller says that the one's without the anti-slip edge are a 90's repress. https://www.popsike.com/ORIGINAL-1976-45-JAMES-FOUNTAIN-SEVEN-DAY-LOVER-WITH-ANTI-SLIP-SUROUND/251890648556.html
  15. I think the Ronnie Forte record arrived here in volume in the UK in the late 70's. Similar to Frank Beverly on Sassy and John Bowie. Certainly Pep in Wolverhampton had load's. All mint condition and sold for either £3 or possibly £5. That's when/where I got mine. So, plenty out there but likely to be sitting in dormant collections. And if they aren't circulating and there is demand.......
  16. Blimey, dance floor etiquette isn't what it used to be!
  17. Looks like a great LP. Was yours the Australian MCA as on the JM site? (As with the 45, I think the UNI copy is widely available)
  18. John Manship is selling the LP for £100. Don't know if that helps at all . Great record. https://www.raresoulman.co.uk/d/200455/GREEN,_GARLAND
  19. Sorry Jim, no offence. The John Manship Auction page in post #1 is an ISSUE for £133
  20. This latest one is a DEMO. I bought a demo from Mick Smith via EBAY which has an information/promo page which was originally glued to the sleeve.
  21. I'm sure it must just be me, but every time I return to this thread, this image keeps springing to mind.... https://youtu.be/c3BGWJ8s82Y
  22. Following on from the comments earlier in the thread, you really can hear how it's slower/the vocal was "speeded-up". Seems to give it a different "feel".
