Ebay Help Needed! Items For Sale Not Shown
Britmusicsoulfan replied to Benji's topic in All About the SOUL
I think things on eBay are really hosed up at the moment. I have 2,300 items in my store and have had sales drop off 90 percent from previous months. I will need to call them tomorrow. -
I found Ace Records' Jean Wells Soul On Soul CD second hand over the weekend and enjoyed it except for "Roll Up Your Sleeves, Come Out Loving. It had drum machines, really bad backing instruments and was quite jarring considering the rest of the CD had proper drums, etc. I had to skip past it after 30 seconds of listening. Can anyone shed any light on this track? I am assuming it was a 80s production? Many thanks.

Chicago Soul Icon Carl Davis Passes On
Britmusicsoulfan commented on Dave Moore's article in News Archives
I have been friends with him and am also friends with Willie Henderson on Facebook, who just posted the news. He recently posted about buying his book and receiving a bonus CD of material he produced. Thank you for all of the great music you were involved with! -
Will there be a Sunday Soul Session in December, or is everything finished in September? Cheers.

I know someone who has a store in Bellevue, Nebraska (Omaha) that has a record dewarper, but it only works on LPs. I haven't seen one for 45s, but if anyone has seen one, let me know!

I am a frequent-enough user that I pay for access. I pay the 6 months worth of access. It's very much worth it.

Hello everyone, I have Billy Davis' Stanky (Get Funky) 45 on Cobblestone Records, catalog number CB 731 w/I Tried. It comes in a Buddah Records company sleeve. The labels are in M- condition. There is a drill hole in the label. Strangely enough, the B side doesn't list the title, but the song is on there. The 45 visually grades M/M- on A and EX-/VG+ with a couple of paper sleeve scuffs on B. The 45 plays M/M- and sounds great. I'm asking $110 US. Let me know if you're interested. Thanks!

P.j. - The Best Years Of My Life - Who Is P.j?
Britmusicsoulfan replied to Britmusicsoulfan's topic in Look At Your Box
Cheers! -
Hello everyone, I picked up some 45s last weekend, and one was a record I'd never seen. It's a white label promo for P.J. for (I've Given You) The Best Years Of My Life, V.I.P. 25062 from 1970. So, I have a few questions. I did a bit of online searching and didn't find what I was looking for. 1) Who the heck was P.J.? 2) Did this record make it past the promo stage? Many thanks!

I was digging through a box of records I got last week that included this one. I can provide some photos. The record comes in a plain paper sleeve with a red stamp in Japanese on the top of the sleeve with an A and B label with Japanese writing on it. It's definitely an acetate. It's mint. I briefly played it to ID it. Any idea on value on something like this? I can't imagine there are that many knocking about. Cheers!

This Summers Modern Soul Anthem - Out Today
Britmusicsoulfan commented on Cunnie's article in News Archives
This R. Kelly song would have been so much better if they wouldn't have used a drum machine. -
I have found the clips on you tube to decide if I want to purchase a record or not. There have been times I bought a record I heard a clip of a record I might not normally have chanced it on buying.

Hello, I have the chance to purchase this on an out of town trip this morning. It is marked $300 (which I know is too high), but it is another dealer, do he has offered to lower it to $240. I would be in at $200 or so. Aren't there copies that also have My Dearly Beloved? Any help would be great. Cheers!
