Whilst I was at work, my younger brother Des (r.i.p) Picked the lock on my record box, and was playing my records. Knelt on my Al Williams W/D cracked it right through to the middle. His answer was, well it had a bit of water damage on the label anyway

I have three such examples, when I was collecting Detroit stuff I bought Mike & Ray If only you knew, hated it and still do. The other was Elliott small-I`m a devil, was told to buy it in the 70`s, so took the advice got it home, played it and hated it, and still do. Sorry if this offends others as I know it`s a popular record with others but not my cup of tea. And Ronnie & Burt love where have you gone, don`t get me started on that one

​Was so saddened and shocked to hear the news on Sunday. Phil along with his brother Kev are two people who I have known all of my soul life. A really lovely true gent, always had a smile and a chat for you. Still somewhat in shock. A dear friend, who will be sadly missed by myself and many others. Hi all this is something ive wondered about for a while now. What brought this question to light was I was recently trawling through e-bay when I came across a re-issue that was being bid on, and was actually more expensive, than the original copy further down the search page. The thing that got me thinking was it wasn`t an old re-issue, but one of those ones done over the past couple of years. I use the word re-issue lightly of course.

My thoughts also.

Was lucky with the tadcaster one, as none had been withdrawn from that account, and the box office froze the account so he couldn`t draw any money from that one. I`m sure he would have done, if you guys had not brought it to our attention. So many thanks for that.

I sent a message to the starter of the Riley smith hall event. Sarah Harrison, who I believe to be Liam, looking at his/her profile, with a link to this thread. The message has been read, but no reply.

It gets worse. Ive just received a message through facebook, from the lad who`s been doing the sound for him, he owes him £400 also.

I have posted a statements in THE RILEY SMITH HALL 25/7/2015 event. Right folks, due to recent events that have concerned this promoter, I would advise not to buy anymore tickets and those who have purchased tickets would be advised to contact the box office, who have been more than helpful with regards to this problem to receive a refund. It however is not my place to do this as I am not the promoter of this event, and am only doing this due to my concern for those that have paid for tickets. We as dj`s for the event are extremely upset that this has happened. I have sent numerous messages to all Liams contacts ie Phone, e-mail, facebook etc to answer these allegations, to sadly no avail. No monies have been paid to the Riley smith hall for the booking fee, so as far as they are concerned the event is not taking place. I would like to thank Yvonne Dixon, the lads from the Plymouth events, Dale byers for all pulling together on the soul scene, to put this mess right. If one thing has come out of this sad state of affairs, it is knowing that, people in there time of need can still pull together and help each other out at times like this. Thank you all for your help over the past few days.
