Christmas Help For A Mate Of All Of Ours

What a lovely gesture pete, only met john a couple of times, was at the sixhills allnighter, me di n johnny were just generally chatting about records, di was telling him how she was looking for a copy of CAVALIERS-I REALLY LOVE YOU, and guess what wednesday the next week a nice mint black issue plopped through our door & he point blankley refuses to take any payment saying its a donation to di`s djing career, this really touched us both we will be donating pete keep it going mate and well done-HARRY & DIANE AND A VERY MERRY XMAS TO YOU AND YOURS PETE -
Too true chalky, the late ALAN POLLARD [R.I.P] sent me a few cd`s of unreleased stuff, some fantastic stuff on them, makes you wonder some of the released stuff was a lot worse than unreleased sometimes HAPPY XMAS CHALKY

Ive never seen that variation before roger, don`t know wether ive asked this before, but whats the story behind the yellow RCA demo`s ie BEVERLEY ANN, DON RAY, PEGGY MARCH. Were they from a different plant or something?-HARRY

Great thread, ive allways wondered if any labels wich changed format ie RCA/MGM etc at certain dates, if there were any on the change over point that mistakedly were pressed on the previous format, lots of rumours at one time of things like judy freeman on black rca stock, as we now know these were just rumours, but certainly a great talking point at the time. As roger has said a lot of the labels were just put together with no thought of mistakes etc so i suppose it could have happened. would be nice eh

Think i would have been happy to be covered in mud to have discovered that one ian, my mate has a copy where the title has been ripped off, he told me it was how it was covered up, with a PLASTER
