    Ever had a record through your hands, then sold it on only to find, it getting plays and going massive on the northern scene, with the price rocketing. Bet theres a few stories here, C`mon don`t be shy, heres two for you, i used to get tapes off a mate, i bought a couple of things off him which wern`t getting played at the time, and sold them on for £6 and £8 respectavly, the records THE IVORIES-DESPENZA & DANNY WOODS-CORRECTONE

    There has been many threads on records to end a nighter with. I allways remember getting into some of the historic venues and watching people arriving walking across dancefloors, meeting up with there mates, shaking hands and testing out the dancefloor. Was just wondering what would be your memories or ideas of the perfect record to start the ball rolling and get the atmosphere going at a nighter. Was playing some records today and played THE BROTHERS-ARE YOU READY FOR THIS and seem to remember somewhere starting the proceedings going with that one. Whats your thoughts

    I allways tend to buy from sites nowadays, simply because boxes at nighters etc seem to be way overpriced compared with the prices on here and other sites. Personally i find this a shame, as the one thing i loved was the buzz around a record bar, and learning from your peers

    Thanls for the replies folks, what i was trying to get at was how come some of these larger national distributed labels, some of the releases are harder to unearth than the smaller local labels, which surely did smaller/shorter runs of there releases

    What gets me is, and this happens quite often, someone puts a record up for sale, and then on the same day another one goes up from another seller at nearly 3 times the price? makes me wonder if people actually want to sell there records. I personally do a site search in sales and find what records are sold for, before pricing mine up.
