  4. Photoshop is the premium software, but is pricey, and very complicated if your new to it. Personally I find the GIMP 2.8 software just as good, still hard to work out at the beginning, the bonus is its a free download.
  5. Ive just started designing a few myself. It really is amazing how these graphic programmes work. Due to my illness I have quite a lot of time on my hands, but let me tell you, you need it if your learning from scratch. If anyone wants to give me a challenge, I`ll have a go. Below is a sample.
  6. Yeh that was the first place I tried. Thanks for your reply

  15. Toad your a genius, the problem ive had is I couldn`t even remember how it went. Ive just played it on Youtube and BINGGGGGGGGG!!!! It all came back, you`ll never know how ive racked my brains over the years trying to remember the title and artist Listening to it now, god knows why I bought it
  16. Hi all, this is a very long shot as the details are sketchy at best. In 1979/80 I bought a record in the record bar, at w/c. It was getting plays at that time, a 70`s record it was on Orange epic, the only other thing I can remember it was by Patty someone. I do have an excellent memory, but for the life of me can`t remember who this was or the title. Any ideas would be appreciated. Sorry I don`t have more details
  17. Wheres the likes of Baz Atkinson, with his fantastic contribution to the site, via his long running crossover thread along with other threads like the cheap gems thread that ran via refosoul. As a limited budget buyer, those were exciting times. I`d take more time to read the just arrived in the post, thread but by the time, the vast amount of youtube clips have loaded in, my computer has either crashed, or ive gone for a shave . I still don`t get the whole sales thing, for the simple reason, do people not do any research, through the site search on here, ive seen two within two weeks of each other, with nearly £100 price differential, same condition. There is no stability in record pricing, for the simple reason, if you've got the money, you can get anything really. This then poses the question are they really rare records?? Also can someone explain to me, because for the life of me I can`t work it out, how does a "TOP" dj playing a record, increase the value of said record, When others at other venues have been playing it for years doe`s it make it more elusive, because a certain dj plays or re-activates it?. In this day and age with all the information out there we now know what the rare records are, the rest are just priced up by demand .
  18. Brilliant posts Chalky. Wish I could have made it myself
  19. Hi Phil hope your ok, I agree with this. But are they an investment?? . I fear as we age and people start cashing in on there investment, the market will be flooded even more and prices must fall,
  20. Really good thread, was thinking of raising the question myself. So we`ve been told that these records are rare soul records, can someone explain to me what the word rare means, because I fail to see how records that turn up on lists e-bay etc every week, and have done for the past how many years are considered rare!!! A bloke who I know has no idea about rare records and has been on the scene 5 minutes and has spent over £40, 000 on records. Ok so he`s obviously far too much money, but he`s put a collection together in less than two years. Whereas others have spent a lifetime putting together collections. So these so called rare soul records are available. I believe there is a handful of rare records that are out of the reach of most of us but the rest is readily available, usually at the mere click of a button, if you have the funds. IF I SEE ANOTHER JACKIE WILSON-BECAUSE OF YOU priced at £100 I`m gonna scream!!!!
