  2. Memory really hazy on this one steve, can remember all the promotion going on but can`t remember where they were remember it advertised in either black echoes/ or blues n soul

My wife posted a couple of wants the other day, and recieved a pm reply on one of them straight away from keith williams at soul searcher records, we did a deal at a very reasonable price, also keith waved the p&p charges and the record arrived two days later recorded delivery, very good service indeed cheers keith a pint for you when isee you

  6. Just been reading in events about the forthcoming weekender titled THE WIGAN CASINO ROADSHOW, i`m sure they used to do these in the late seventies/early eighties, think they did a nighter in carlisle ny body got any info on these
  7. Remember my old mate SWISH from york going to a record fair in france and buying an album INTRODUCING THE BEATLES on 10" VERVE not quite on the scale of the rolling stones lp but bought for a fiver n sold for a couplr of hundred i think, wich in 1980 was a good find

There was a time [no pun intended] in the seventies when i used to collect black issues, RCA,DECCA,DUNHILL,CORAL,BRUNSWICK,ABC etc, managed to get most of them back then, had most of the ABC ones apart from the obvious YUM YUMS,but never heard of or saw an issue of HOLLY ST JAMES does this exist?

  21. Yeh defo booted in the 70`s as said hard record to get on original about £250-£300 i think

Me and my wife decided due to the large amount of oldies/commercial nights in our area to start an underplayed soul night, took a while to get off the ground but we have a dedicated following now, not by anyway a packer but some very intresting music played, as its allmost impossible nowadays to find new tunes, we believe this is another option of moving forward, there is a vast backcatologue of music simply forgotten and may i say some fantastic stuff just lost, a prime example of this is in the crossover friday section on this forum.
