Hi Peeps Just received this from the States, got it off the bay for approx' £23 inc' postage. It's in virtually mint condition apart from the few marks on the label. Just wondered what you thought about the price etc.? Thanks fellas and ladies

Hi fellas I'm trying to find out more about the Jackie Wilson track 'My heart is calling' I have looked all over and can't find any info. Was it a major release, was it a B side? What label, was it on Brunswick? Any help would be appreciated Thank you.

Hi Ian It says on the album that the title is 'To care', is that wrong then? Why would they put a wrong title on an album??

Well it is confusing, as there have been many notes held for a long time, but not in songs. I'm pretty sure that it was in the Guinness bbok of records sometime that it was Bill Withers - Lovely day, who held the note for 19 seconds. If you go to 3 minutes 05 seconds into the song, you can marvel at this amazing feat. Well worth listening to from the beginning anyway, it's an awesome track

I wrote to ebay to complain when they made the free postage rule. My case was that if I started a record, let's say an album for this scenario, at 99p, to beakon the bidders in, and the record only sold for 99p, and then I had to post it, which is £1.65 UK, and then there's the Ebay and Paypal fees, I would be loosing money hand over fist. Their reply was that i should incorporate the postage costs etc into the start price. But if you are starting a record at let's say £3.50 to incorporate the fees etc. instead of 99p, it puts folk of bidding. I've always beleived and still do, that if a record is worth it, it'll find it's own value so i have always started my auction price at .99p. but there is always the chance that it won't get bid on. Their excuse was that more and more online shopping sites are doing free postage so they were trying to attract more customers to Ebay by offering the same. But normal sellers are not online multi million £ companies that can afford to absorb the cost of postage, and most Ebay sellers cannot afford to give free postage. This week I put a load of classical LPs onto Ebay, I sold 7 to one seller, the postage cost was over £4 second class, so work it out, 7 records at 99p = £6.93. take the postage off that = £3.93, then there's the Ebay and paypal fees, packaging equipment and petrol to the post office.? Is it worth it?

THIS BROUGHT BACK A BAD MEMORY FOR ME. Wigan casino, Mid 70s, bought 3 records inside the club, and cos I didn't want to carry them round all night, I thought it was a "good idea" to put them in the car. Not wanting them to be on show in the car, I thought it would be a '"good idea" to put them in the boot. Well! how was i to know that the next day would be the hottest on record? Yeah you've guessed it, went to get them out next morning after taking a dip in the swimming pool, and the bloody things had all warped to hell I can't and don't want to remember what records they were, all I know is that i spent all my money that I had on them. BOOHOO!! GUTTED!
