  2. and I definitely saw a few people walk straight into the perspex panels at 'VaVa's.
  3. Excellent Soulful voice, and great to see that there is another side to the usual US R&B scene. Also think that the girl that got knocked out in the final of 'X-Craptor' has an amazing Bluesey/Soulful voice too. 'Rebbeca Ferguson' Anybody?? Rebecca Ferguson - Distant Dreamer
  4. Heheh! can't say i wasn't expecting that, there's always one, and your it!! LOL

  9. Ok! I know I'm gonna get the die hards and the stalwarts bombarding this post with their opinions, but hey! that's what these forums are for. I love this track and I have previewed the album on iTunes and it is all in the same vein, excellent Northern soul'eque style music. What do you think, and a million times better than the 'Buffy' squealing cow crap. (Put's on his hard hat)

  11. Phew thank God for that, mystery solved! Thank you Poirot LOL
  12. Dunno it is a mystery! maybe they were all pressed up in the UK or maybe Italy and then exported and with different covers and label wording for each country? Wonder if JM could help with the investigation, or Ian Dewhirst, he's very knowledgeable about these things?
  13. So what colour label and country of origin is yours?
  14. yeah it's the same. Here is a scan of the label and the back cover for future reference.
  15. So in your opinion would you say that my copy IS a Dutch pressing? Is 'Stibbe' the Dutch part of 'Durium' ?
  16. Just to confuse things a little more, I recieved the record in the first post today (perfect by the way) On the bottom of the back cover it states 'Durium S.p.A. - Milano'? Does this mean the 'Durium' is actually an Italian label? I was led to believe that this was a Dutch press and it probably is, but the writing that surrounds the label 'copyright' etc...... is in English? Me confused...... :-o
  17. Just noticed also that the Dutch ps credits just 'Rocky Roberts' and the Italian sleeve credits 'Rocky Roberts & the Airdales'?
  18. Champaign 12", full spoken intro and then the countdown.
  19. was the Allnighter in Leeds at the 'Queens Hall'?, that was a right night, AH! I remember it well!
  20. Thanks for your comments people, I didn't realise that the middle was taken out either, but a good buy anyway me thinks and the 'Durium' boot I have can now go on Ebay :-).
  21. Hi fellas and ladies I just bought this, is it worth the money I paid £8? Looks nice and the quality is excellent. The 'B' side by the way is 'Just because of you' and it's on Dutch STIBBE (Durium) CNA-S 9237 1967. let me know your thoughts please. Steve
  22. So just as I expected then, mixed opinions. Good though to hear peoples different tastes and likes and dislikes. That's what it's all about. I'd bet though that many of the ones that prefer the Ray Pollard version, have it on original??
  23. Heheh!! Good rant, I never mentioned Phil F*****g Collins and never would either (oops! just did) :-). I'm not trying either to convince myself that it is a better version, I genuinely think it is at least as good if not better and as stated in the first post, a lot of folk that i have played it also think the same, so Ner Ner!! LOL
