Northern Soul Uk

I remember the 'Metro' being in existence but I don't remember ever going. The only places around that time I can remember in Wakey was 'Intercon, Raquels, Locarno (Mecca) on the site where the Ridings is now and a bit later on I think 'Unity hall'

Can't believe I just found these after all these years. An original 'Central' membership card, but what makes it special is that I had it signed on the back by no other than 'Gladys Knight and the pips' when I went to see them at Sheffield theatre club in the 70s. Also found my Cleethorpes card and a Torch flyer.

To be honest, $12 is pretty good for a 12" album from the states, a lot charge more than that for a 7".

No I know, I think there are 2 albums and it's no on any of them. There are some excellent tracks on the albums mind, including a version of Gladys Knight's - Just walk in my shoes.

Just a few of the comments about the 'Central Reunion' We had a great day at Central , came up from Nottingham on Saturday stayed till Monday what a brill week-end , met up with some old friends ............KTF bloody fantastic day, best music ive heard in long time,consistant ,couldnt sit down, some of the best soulies there, the best sunday of soul, since Oldham , brilliant!!!!!we will be back Yes we all had a top day...so pleased for you and that it was a packer fuckin top do carn't say any more luved it bring on the nxt 1 thankyou was a fantastic day x seriously top dayer.
