  1. Excellent, thank you all for the info, I will carry on with my search
  2. Can someone let me know if this is rare and what would one expect to pay for a copy? Big Frank & The essences - I won't let her see me cry
  3. Next Alldayer Sunday August 7th 2011. Central Alldayer Event Page
  4. Did this ever get pressed on any other label but Stardust?
  5. I'm in touch with Gary again now after some 30 years, I'm trying to coax him out again as I think he lost interest after he'd sold his records. His wife Lynne has been to a couple of my do's but not Gary as yet.
  6. The person in question that sold the record was a guy called Gary Field from Leeds, he is a very good friend of Richards. As said in my original post, he had many big money records back then. Anyone heard of Gary? Big mates with Soul Sam, Manship & Butch too.
  7. I was talking to an old friend of mine last night who is an old boy and used to buy a lot of big money tunes. He was going through some the records that he had had and sold in the past. One of them was apparently the only copy of 'The Originals - Suspicion' which was on an acetate (not Emidisc) and said he'd sold it for big money to a well known DJ (no names mentioned). Anyone on here ever seen a copy? and what on if they have? I know it's been pressed on 'Stardust' but that's not the one I'm enquiring about. Thanks anyone!
  8. Isn't that something you would normally do in a bathroom?
  9. yeah me too, I think that those that can't may have images blocked in their firewall settings if they use a firewall that is. Those that can't see the image try right click on the red cross and select 'Show image'?
  10. yeah photo's showing perfectly here, anyone else can't see it??
  11. Red X? What do you mean Arkright?
  12. He definitely has his 'Anti-Skate' set wrong on his turntable. This will either make the record stick as it is doing, or run out to the middle of the record. You or your record are not at fault, it's his turntable settings that are. he needs to set the 'Anti-skate' dial or knob on the turntable to full, usually 3., this is usually at the back of the turntable near the arm.
  13. Got this from a car boot sale this week, isn't she a beaut? original 1950s 'Winel' record box that holds 50 records. and the price? a measly fiver!!
  14. Heheh! no not trying to do that Godzilla, just confused why I couldn't see any others like it, and some folk as we know do get records pressed up themselves if the original records are hard to find otherwise, thought that might be the case. Thank you everyone for your replies.
  15. This item ends in just over 4 hours!
  16. Yes I agree Ste, but what puzzled me was the label it's on, and why there are no others like it on the net as far as I could see. Nice to have though, just for the 2 Northern tracks, but the other tracks are good also.
  17. Hi, I was going to post this in a previous thread on the same topic, but the thread has been locked. I got a copy of this from a newly opened record shop a few years ago. It was in a pile of records that they had just bought and I had first dibs On the other thread it was advised that the original of this was on 'GSF' records released in 1973, and that the originals has a stiff card sleeve. Also that the re-release was in a gatefold sleeve, thinner card with the re-release info, date etc. on the back, also on 'GSF' records. I am puzzled because my copy fits the description of neither? This copy is in a single sleeve (not gatefold), with a sticker on the front top centre, with track listings and info, there is nothing whatsoever on the back of the sleeve just plain black. The label is 'MMR' records (MMV-1011) and the label is black with a skull on the 'A' side, and the inverse on the 'B' side, the label has the artist name and the label details. can anyone please shed some light as to where this is from? I have searched the internet and cannot find another the same, and no info at all on the label 'MMR', all you get is about the MMR jab? Any help is appreciated Thank you Steve P.S I should have added the this release is from 1994 as it states on the cover and label.
  18. Hi Just wondered what are the differences between a boot and an orig' of this? Thanx!
  19. Ridiculous! Why is it fetching so much? Is it as rare as they are making out? How many on here have one and what did you pay??
  20. Love this, German Tamla Motown (Musterplatte) Demo in English, and in the original 'Demo' cover too I buy a lot of my tunes simply for the aesthetic value, especially the US Promo Motown, Gordy ect. Just love the plain white labels with the black print, simple, but just looks the dogz...........
  21. Heheh!! mad as a box of spiders!!! Just watched a copy of this sell on Ebay, exactly the same label (Black US RCA), possibly slightly better condition than mine that I paid £25 for a couple of months ago, went tonight for £111.00?? EH??
