  1. No never really humid, but I would strongly advise not putting them in a Garage, even in the dryest garage and in containers, records always seem to be able to find any damp there is, especially in the cold weather as it is now.
  2. I pushed the crack on a perfectly flat glass table top, it id click into place ok, but just a bit worried about it going any further. I have heard that there are ways but not how it's done. Thanks for the help anyway.
  3. Price looks decent too.
  4. Just got this through the post. A pleasure to behold in my eyes anyway. One thing that struck me though, is the the title track 'Breakout', is written by one 'G Knight' Is this Gladys Knight?, and if so, did she ever make a recording of Breakout?
  5. Hi and thanks for the reply. Yes it is a tiny crack and can be lined up so as not to be too visible, but still clicks when playing.
  6. Hi y'awll Just realised that one of my 7"s has a crack on the run in. It clicks over it but plays ok after and doesn't jump. Is there any way that anyone knows or has heard of, that can stop it from cracking any further or virtually fix the crack? Thanks for any help.
  7. Yes I'm sure that Teddy Pandergrass was the lead singer of HM&TBN, although he had a solo career too. Not sure about the drummer bit tho'
  8. Dunno, I've always wondered that. All I could come up with was maybe as the tune is so fast and furious, Mike Post thought it resembled a herd of Rhinos on the rampage? Dunno! This is my copy of the album, Still love the look of it!
  9. I have a radio station copy of the LP, Always been one of my fave dancers. But what has always deluded me is what was Mike Post thinking of when he made it? There was no such term as Northern Soul then, so it wasn't recorded as that. It wasn't recorded as a theme tune for anything? It isn't Soul, or even Pop really, so what was it meant to be? I always buzz of the thought of a full orchestra going into a studio and recording it, can you imagine? I would have loved to have been there.
  10. slightly off topic, and this thread will probably get moved shortly anyway. But I was watching one of the 'car Boot' programmes a few months ago when John Knowles was one of the 'hunters'. He found a 7" record and said, if this is an original copy it's worth a lot of money' I think it was an old Motown one, something like that. But many folk know that John Knowles was a regular at the casino. Just interesting I thought. I watch all of the ones mentioned above, I love em, wife can't see it though? Must be the bargain hunter in me.
  11. Snap em in half Ian, much cheaper that way. I usually lave that to my postman, he makes a better job of it then me :-)
  12. can't see you getting that much for the bag on it's own if it's tatty. So leave the badges on, that will up the value no end.

  15. If I can, I would like to say that Brian's work is outstanding. I have had first hand experience of his work and was immensely impressed. Brian very kindly came to the last 'Leeds Central' alldayer, and snapped some amazing photographs of the event. Brian comes highly recommended and his project looks like it's going to be a sure fire winner.
  16. Love this, but prefer 'If you ever get your hands on love', even more rare I would think?
  17. Just got a Demo for £35. Thank you all for the help!
  18. Great mem's of the 'Cats' here! Thanks. A what a surprise to see a badge and a flyer LOL! Never seen one of the badges, didn't even know they did one tbh. Seen a flyer before but not that one. Here's a scan of the one I have seen.
