  9. Just can't live my life - Linda Jones. Stunning backing track, but no instumental unfortunately
  10. I don't think that there is that much difference between the 2 to be honest, apart from maybe Mr Parrish's is a little faster. Vocals on both are good though and as far as the arrangement is concerned they're is not that much different.
  11. Nothing mate apart from this question on this thread??
  12. Anyone have an idea where I might be able to get some blank printable 7" small hole labels from? It's for a project I am on with. Any help appreciated Thanks
  13. Just found this, I know many of you aficionados will know it, but just wondered what your thoughts are as an alternative version to the Dean Parrish one.
  14. OH DEAR! Stop it please. I love all genres of music, but this is pants, and what the hell has the style of music got to do with Northern?
  15. Nice to hear of a record shop opening after the 1000s (including mine) that have closed over the last 10 years or so due to either the drop in vinyl sales or economic difficulties. Well done!!
  16. Yes, the PVA type glue. I've heard of this but not tried it.
  17. An orig' 'Landa' multi coloured copy just went on eBay for £36. Not tooo bad i thought.
  18. No I didn't say I didn't believe you Boba, I said It's really difficult. What method do you use? The magnifying glass and pin method?
  19. A few more of my little babies. I do so love USA Motown related demos.
  20. Same here, bought loads cheap because the seller thought it jumped, and me knowing that I had a very good chance of fixing it.
  21. It's very difficult if not impossible to clean a record enough to remove gunge that is stuck in the grooves. Normal cleaning only takes off the surface dirt as all you are doing is wiping the top. If there is dirt that is stuck in the grooves and causing a skip, then you have to take more drastic action to get it out. Another way which it tried and tested over many years is the warm water method, this can actually desolve clogged grooves. Method is, bowl of warm water, 1 drop of washing up liquid, stir water with finger slowly not to cause bubbles. Soft cloth dipped in water, thoroughly wipe affected record rubbing fairly hard, rinse record under cold tap making sure not to get water on label, dry record with dry soft cloth or paper towel. If it still skips, try again, if that still doesn't cure it, more harsh method is needed as in earlier post.
  22. Don't know if these qualify? Nothing rare, just nice to look at (my opinion) Click on image to enlarge.
