  3. LOL!! so a straight, straight rob then :-)
  4. Yeah, love Morales stuff, although it's fair to say that 'Needin' you' was just a straight rob, looped and filtered. Still a massive track though at the time. Mind you so was this. Sampled from this
  5. Dave Morales in my record shop in Leeds a few years ago. Top geez!
  6. Worth a look, some really nice bits on eBay! https://stores.ebay.co.uk/Soulman-Auctions/Northern-Soul-Motown-/_i.html?rt=nc&_fsub=3463611018&_sid=45946198&_trksid=p4634.c0.m14.l1513&_pgn=2
  7. Copies not £££ Copies not £££
  8. Depending on whether you are willing to keep the records in the state they are, I would go for part refund. Also remember that you can leave them negative feedback too, and they can't, so if the seller doesn't meet you requests, threaten them with that., it works usually.
  9. Rob, have you any idea how many were pressed up?

  11. Pretty comprehensive history of the song, excellent, thanks
  12. WOW! I thought it looked different to my other Demos, but couldn't place why. Thanks for that Rod
  13. Being a collector and a lover of US Motown related demos, I have recently come across this. I have never seen one or to be quite honest heard the song before by the Temp's. It was apparently recorded by the 'Isleys' too. The 'B' side is 'The impossible dream'., and the 'A' 'Born to love you' is just Heavenly.
  14. Thank you, It is so hard to tell this is what I know for sure. The matrix MM-1023-1 is tiny nearly touching the end groove, the run out is less than a full turn and The run out grove is also 7mm, I just measured it. Hopefully a better photo attached. Any other sure way of telling? Thanks for your input 45celler
  15. Please can someone help? I have a copy of 'Mel Williams - Can it be me' and I need to find out it it's a proper one on not. I am sure that one of the experts will be able to tell the difference straight away, but I have been looking in 'Manships guide' and it is hard to decide what is what. On the run out wax, very close to the end groove is scratched in tiny text 'MM 1023-1' I have attached images that may help. I'm not bothered if it's not orig', but need to know why it is what it is. Thank you Steve
  16. Just put some nice bits on the bay L@@K https://stores.ebay.co.uk/Soulman-Auctions/Northern-Soul-Motown-/_i.html?rt=nc&_fsub=3463611018&_sid=45946198&_trksid=p4634.c0.m14&_sop=10&_sc=1
  17. No it's not that Pete, not sure why that is written on the label? Could be a cover up though as I don't think many know what it actually is? Steve
  18. Excellent and thank you all for the feedback. It seems that the 7" must be fairly hard to get hold of, I've looked on all of the sites that I know, and even Popsike hasn't any listed, or I couldn't see any. Thanks again - Steve

  21. Hi Sousters! I have come across as 7" single by Ray Barretto called 'Acid' with 'Mercy Mercy Baby' on the flip, on UK 'London' 1969 I have searched all over but can't find another to put a value to it. All I can find anywhere is the album of the same name 'Acid' I wonder if anyone on here knows it, or know about it? I isn't really Soul, more Latin/Mod Any ideas please, any info may help. Thank you
  22. Album went for £31 earlier this year https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Mark-Williams-House-For-Sale-Lp-Emi-/390535435819 And the single £204, looks like we all underestimated. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Soul-45-Collector-MARK-WILLIAMS-A-HOUSE-SALE-EMI-NEW-ZEALAND-Hear-/111012039465
  23. Not only oh to be young again, but oh to have Bub back, what a character! I remember at Wakefield Intercom I think it was, when he was DJing, There was a food bar in the place, and Bub decided to take it on himself to advertise the burgers, inbetween the records "Burgers on sale at the food bar, 30p each, or 4 for a quid" :-)
