  6. It also stated on the news article that Godrey had convictions for 100 other offences, wonder what they were? for the same thing? Also he said that as far as copyright and licencing was concerned, that he "didn't have a clue where to start" Really? Try Google. More like he thought he could get away with it without having to lay any cash out.

  8. I have the 'Spanish' release of this from 1971, it is the Extended version. Has anyone any idea when the 'Yesteryear' one was released. It says '1970' on the label, but I think that is when it was first issued? Anyone?

  12. Yes it was rubbish Ezzie, but I seem to remember there were some dance podiums scattered around the flood willy nilly, not that that made it any better like LOL , I was a dancer back then and don't think I even bothered.
  13. Freezing Cold, No dance floor, Crap sound, but the artists and the tunes were A1.

  15. Glad you like them Rob, Me too. I have got a lot more into buying memorabilia from our soulful legends. I also have 'AFTRA' documents, a USA Musician and Artist union, signed by The Tempos, Leon Heywood and Marlena Shaw. One offs and look amazing. I have them all framed.
  16. Not records I know, and not for sale either, but VERY nice to look at. Just bought these. Signed documents of Bob & Earl. One for Bob (Bobby Valentino) also signed as 'Robert Relf' for a deal on 'Lita' Records?? in 1968. Think it's this actual one' https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PlZO3F62IsQ And one for Earl (Earl L Nelson) to perform on the Hunter Hancock Show in 1955. These are from a very trusted collector in the States, all guaranteed genuine. Had quite a few from him and all good and proper. Love memorabilia nearly as much as the records.
  17. Yes it is Chalky, the time on this single is 4.05 and it has the sax break in the middle
  18. Lovely Track, should be getting played out more me thinks.
  19. Nolan Chance - Just like the weather Denise LaSalle - Love reputation and similar but not exactly the same Denise LaSalle - Too late to check your trap
  20. Esther Phillips - Catch me I'm falling. Hadn't heard it for some 30 years. Someone asked me to play it at a gig, I didn't have it with me then, but dug it out from the archives when I got home and played it. It literally blew me away and now get's played now at every gig I do. Pure magic!
  21. When I used to go to the Torch in Stoke, this had just started getting played, so early 70s? There was a small record shop just down the road from where I lived in Leeds that I used to frequent. They always had a few imports in there, and this day I went in and found 6 copies of this for 20p each. I took them all to the Torch the week after and sold each one for £20 within half an hour of getting there, there were crowds round me trying to buy one, bet I could have sold 20 of em. That was far more than a months wage for me at that time, as you can imagine I was made up and spent a lot of it on other records. Ah! The good old days
  22. Who knew about this one? Spanish Tamla Motown with long vesion including intro? Bought it as a punt, as I noticed that the time for 'Stoned Love' was 4.05 mins.
  23. Just gone on eBay for 7 day auction https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/312132473508
