  1. Just found out she shared the same birth date as me, March 6th, although she is 7 years older. Ah that makes me feel proud, and young Bradford lass Kiki Dee was born Pauline Matthews, 6 March 1947 The Fontana Years 1963-1968 was a compilation album prior to Kiki signing for Motown Kiki was the first Brithish white singer to sign for the Motown record label ‘Love Makes The World Go Round: The Motown Years’ Kiki began as a backing vocalist for Dusty Springfield and shared Dusty’s manager, Vic Billings.
  2. The cheapest copy on Discogs is over £29, and the newest copy is nearly £50 :-) https://www.discogs.com/sell/list?master_id=327416&ev=mb
  3. Hard to say isn't it? Can't find anywhere that gives the release history. I think you may be right about the 7463 tho', but the 5771 looks very similar.
  4. Weren't you also responsible for the signing of 'Shannon' to the 'Warehouse' label Ian?
  5. Isn't the dark orange spoked centre the original UK issue? the import being the original US issue? Also the UK 3rd issue (as above) is now fetching up to £30.
  6. Yeah, 'Tribute' is a House record no doubt about it, and Bob Sinclar a House producer. Just one that was picked up by the New Northern Boys I guess, along with DJ Genesis (another Tribute) and Drizabone - Pressure. I know that Muriel Day is not the best "Northern" tune in the basket, but listen beyond the Sesame street riff and there are some very nice strings and key changes tucked away in there.
  7. On eBay now. Edwin Starr - 4 track EP. Includes Time, Running back and forth, He who picks a rose and War, on Portuguese 'Tamla Motown' Demo. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/311274374440?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1558.l2649
  8. Yeah thanks for that. Finished at £160
  9. Yeah I know Steve, Massive at one time, but shunned now as much as, if not more than the Snake which was one of the biggest back in the day. Times change eh?
  10. TBH Ian, they were brilliant, and it was Def' Jeffrey Daniels on stage, amazing dancer, moonwalking everywhere. :-)
  11. You're gonna laugh, but how much would you say that this is worth? estimates no lower that 10p please Seriously though, it's a Mint- Demo.
  12. Have this on the USA Demo
  13. Ian I saw Shalamar live at batley Variety club, must have been the 80s, could have been the Frontier in the same town, were you anything to do with that tour?, and were you there on that night?
  14. Jackson Sisters came out on 'Urban' records on a 12"
  15. Includes Time, Running back and forth, He who picks a rose, War Rare Portugese Tamla Motown Demo 4 track EP. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/311274374440?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1558.l2649
  16. I had a buyer of a record I sold on eBay called 'ihavenomoney' :-) He paid OK though.
  17. Here is the one that went the other day on King https://www.popsike.com/Mary-Love-You-Turned-My-Bitter-Into-Sweet-Im-In-Your-Hands-Northern-Soul/291358792621.html
  18. a 'King' one went on eBay tonight, missed the end so not sure what it fetched.
  19. Yes that is very helpful thank you. A friend of mine also saw the post and has rung may telling me the difference. Mine is the counterfeit one, and Manship and Ady are correct, they are very hard to tell the difference until you see the matrix in the deadwax. Anyhoo, I only paid £8 and it's a minter, so not too fussed.
  20. Does anyone know if Mary Love - You turned my bitter into sweet was repressed on 'Modern'? Thank you
  21. Both proper labels deffo, but one (the one without the sticker) is fairly faded compared to the other, the other is a rich red colour with no fading.
  22. So is the verdict that both of mine are boots, and booted by different bootleggers?
