  1. and Evelyn Thomas Weakspot, made it big on the scene in the day and charted I believe
  2. I know if a US seller uses it, the package, no matter where the parcel is coming from in the US, goes all the way to Kentucky to be checked and if needed opened and repackaged, so it is cheaper to send using the courier that eBay have designated. In all you will find that everyone that uses the service charges more for P&P, and the package will take twice as long to reach it's destination. I know this because I ordered a record from the states, and when it took so long to arrive I did a check with the tracking number and found that it was at that time in Kentucky. I made enquiries with eBay and they told me the way it works. In all, instead of the usual week to 10 day to get a record from the states, it took over 3 weeks.
  3. Doesn't say that, think it would need Mr Searling to answer that one
  4. Here yer go then, 1st page of Richard Searlings first ever list. Imports £1 each, and remember, this will have been the 1970s :-)
  5. Great to hear your stories. I might start posting the Searling list up page by page. It's ridiculous what the prices where then, to what they are now. Mind you, so were the wages LOL
  6. Yeah just looked at that thanks, and I also asked questions on that thread too, but no one can come up with a surefire answer as to which is a boot (if any). Looks like being another one of the NS unsolved mysteries.
  7. Do you still have this please?
  8. Not sure if this has been covered before, but would be nice to know what the first ever record list you recieved? This is mine, just the front page (it is the complete list though) of the first ever 'Richard Searling' list produced. Not sure what year this will have been but I would definitely say the early to mid 1970s
  9. Ooh!! hope so though, nice track :-)
  10. I don't know, it could be a spelling mistake I suppose, just bought it so can't play it yet. But thanks for the help.
  11. Anyone ever heard a record by Darnells called 'Call on me'? Just bought a Test Press off Manships site on the 'After Dark' label, never released by the results of searches, with Seven Souls - I still Love you on one side, and Darnells - Call on me, on the flip. Can't find a sound clip of the Darnells anywhere. Anyone?
  12. Does anyone know the story of the difference between originals and represses/boots of this on 'St. Lawrence'? I have heard people say the if they don't have an address on the bottom of the label they are boots, and then again I have heard people say that that is a load of rubbish and there are originals without the address on the label. Whats the story and how can you tell? Thank you
  13. Excellent, thank you Roger. Good to know that the one I have is not an original, but not a boot either , but an official reissue
  14. Also strange about this, just noticed 2 years on, that the cat number on my copy is 65c-9290-MO? Why the 'MO'? the others I have seen don't have this?
  15. So re-Issues, not boots Chris L?
  16. I thought that but just need to know for sure whether it was actually booted or not
  17. Was The Furys - I'm satisfied with you, booted on Keymen or are there different label designs?
  18. Ben E King - I Can't Break The News To Myself Rare French 'Atco' with Picture sleeve (folder) Released at the same time as the USA ATCO release in 1965 VG+ Condition https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/311693008179?
  19. Hasn't it been released already on a 7? Unless this is a different recording?
  20. I think if it were mine I'd frame and hang it
  21. A friend of mine has just been to mine and dropped this off asking if I could find out if there is any worth in it? He found it in his fathers office in Florida when they were sorting out some records.. The actual track is pretty nice and is on 'Philadelphia International' records from 1979.
