Sidney Joe - I don't do this.. when you bought it you knew what you was buying no problem.. you knew it was legit staright away..

Trouble is its not always clear, if its a looky likey label.. I personaly always think it must be a boot.. (I'm not pointing fingers at anyone just typing) if its a legit uk first pressing.. why make it look as close to the original as possible.. some companys use there own lables when issuing uk issues we all know these company's so its clear... Look at the thread regarding the shrine UK release on ebay.. surley if it was not made to look so like the original we wouldn't have them sort of problems.. if it is a legit uk issue surley it could have been green.. no mistaking it.. (only using this as an example because of recent threads on here not because i'm pointing fingers)..thing is people buy these because they can afford them and they like the sound of the record, not because of what label it is on... look at all them boots from the days of old Rose Battise, Rubin etc. in my opinion they where made to con people.. and to make looky likeys is just carrying that on... or if you make a looky likey label why not still put the name of the company issuing it... tried to make an example just to get my point over as I say i'm not having a go at the shrine releases but. just using them as an example..

Maybe make clubs members only...but clubs excepting other club membership cards.. if someone was going to a new type of club they would probably be going with someone in the know anyway... so they could get in on there membeship card... ok woldn't have to stick to the rules 100% but if you had a group or 20 year olds at 11.30 who had already had a drink.. problem solved

I have friends that buy boots .. if you go through there box they are all boots reissues.. when I ask them they say its because they like the feel of records but can't afford originals.. sometimes they have boots that cost the same as the originals ... and to be honest they are friends so I don't really go into the whole original boot thing .. everyday punters don't seem to worry.. but on the other hand how many of us on here bought boots/reissues before we started spending money, just because we wanted it. What I think is out of order is selling boots/reissues with looky likey labels.

imagine being some little singer who hsn't released a record for 30/40 years, and when you did realease it, the only people who heard it lived in your town , then one day getting a knock on your door and someone from the UK offering you a contract .... wouldn't that freak you out a bit...

that must be the differnce between yellow and blue then.. mind you i did only pay a pound for it..

Maybe they have more sense than buying loads of vinyl that can just sit there till some one wants that perticular record...especialy when they could be buying lip gloss, shoes and bags...

Matt i've just started pulling out some of the rocking stuff, what i have left (sold 90% of it but then better than sitting unplayed some where) so only a few albums cd's left, but am gonna put a CD together for the car now forgot how much I liked some of it...pm me your address and i'll send you one.. be next week that i post it...
