And you gotta hope he don't 2nd chance them to the next bidder sorry just read this again ... sounds like i'm gonna bid on them i'm not.. meant about the other thread same dealer..
  5. Has anyone got it on tape or dvd would love to see it in full
  6. Probably... but 100% of venues are hired out as a commercial venture its how the owner makes a living ...fire regulations health and safety etc all have to be taken into account..... what % of northern promoters make aliving from putting on do's, most are lucky if they clear the dj's fees .... venue hire ...printing of flyers.... deck hire.. etc.. so they may make a couple of quid big deal.... Good luck to them.. If you was in Tescos and slipped on a bottle of spilt talc and was unable to work due to a brokem limb and you was being paid SSP and because of that got behind on your loan payments on your car your mortgage etc, what would you do?
  7. Mark said it was he's 40th.. so maybe there was none soulies there.. was it one of them that fell? Maybe she had bad advice and thought she could sue the club not Mark... Them injury lawyers for you are bad news.. you sign a contract with them they promise you the world but if you pull out you have to pay there fees for work they carried out... Not a lot of work but high fees.. To be honest if I slipped in an overflowing toilet at a do and broke my arm i'd sue the venue... its the same as at work if it rains we have to put them yellow slippery signs out in reception saying wet floor.. It is our responsability.... its all health and safety... I would not sue a promoter for talc on the floor though..
  8. well then more fool you, you should have kept the flyer in tact as its a future collectors item Thats a topic collecting flyers is it just me or as anyone else got them in every room in there house insted of the bin
  9. I dj'd at a friends wedding (never again) and the venue asked to see my insurance before they would confirm the hire of the hall, the venue owner would only let them pencil in a date untill they see the insurance certificate. I hope you sort this maybe best to get proper advice... I would make an apointment with C.A.B and they maybe able to help or point you in the right direction.

I read on a cd cover that he wrote this regarding he's addiction to drink and drugs... when you listen to it you automatically think he's talking about a woman... but I'm sure he never mentions a woman...

  21. A mate of mine gave me a copy of Thelma Lindsey - Prepared to love you, on Magic City.. the label is so damaged you can just about make out the word Magic in black .... label has layers of paper peeled off, think it may have been a demo as there is no colour... but a freebe and a good un at that probably never be able to sell it though.. and also bought a copy of christina quail (think thats the right name -not gonna dig it out) - long after tonight is all over stateside demo.. looks like an ice ring but plays fine... so as long as they play ok I can live with a click. oh forgot a few years ago I bought Nolan Porter if I could only be sure and that had a little lump in the groove, 90% of the time it played fine but when it never I always pretended I knocked the deck.. always got away with it... and yes I did end up replacing it with a mint radio station owned demo..
