When I was djing last week at the I-O-W, some one asked me for 3 requests one after the other as I never had any of them.. I think this is the worse conversation i've ever had behind the decks the bloke/dancer was quite stroppy about it aswell..
any tales to tell, whilst djing that you couldn't belive at the time?
(No offense to Northerners as this was an individual)
Dancer " Can you play long after tonight for me"
Me "no sorry mate its only 12.30 and if I play it now everyone will go home, we got another 2and half hours yet."
Dancer " Can you play Here I go again"
Me " No sorry don't carry it about "
Dancer " oh what have you got  ... you got dangling on a string - chairman of the board"
Me "no sorry"
Dancer " thats the problem with you southerners you don't really get Northern soul.. Thats why its called Northern we understand it more up north, you just don't get the idea of it down south, you don't now what people want to hear  "
Me "yeh I know what you mean its a shame , it just seems down south we are more open minded with our music "
Dancer " yeh thats the problem  "
