Yep played it at the Crown IOW bank holiday.. went down well..

Never gone down the owing money for records path.. well credit card till pay day or the pay day after that... but trouble is and we have all done it you buy a record you have wanted for weeks, months, even years.. get it play it and move on.. now if you hadn't paid for it.. would you want to... would you feel the same about the record.. i'm not saying its right by the way.. but may be why your having problems getting the money now... Any way.. who ever it is that owes you I imagine they will put there hands in there pockets today.. rather than be named and shamed.. good luck.. hope you sort it..

Pete the members selling at high prices are they dealers or collectors? if a dealer.. then they aren't gonna move them on..simple bad for customer services.. if you get a bad name for your self.. on soul source it sticks... If a collector may be pricing high cause they are not bothered if they sell them or not.. as its from there collection.. "only sell if it I get top dollar" Just my thought on it...

Imber boy.. Getting back to the IOW, up at the Crown we cater for all Northern tastes.. But at the end of the day its a scooter rally first, northern do 2nd.. but we do aim to make it the best purely Northern do on that weekend.. not easy when you have dj's from differnt soul/scooter back grounds. For me personally Sunday was the best night up there as it was back of the box stuff.. a real mix of sounds.. stuff I have not played before.. stuff I was worried about playing... the best stuff.. but it's down to the dj who's on.. etc.. I know next year Pete Kelross (Bisley) is changing the way some of the dj's go about there business up there.. and he will be pushing more towards the do's we all pay to go to each week.. it's never going to really happen as it is a rally but if we get 96% right it will be worth it.. but we just done our 6th year there and had a good crowd in, apart from Sunday but it filled up later.. saying that Sean and Pete Talk of the south boys.. got it right the year they had the Northern Allnighter at the IOW... that was awesome... was it 2002? any one, scooterists soulies on here?

One good thing about Scooter Rallys... quite oftern they just want their club name over the Mic... so they ask for any thing for the "whatever Scooter club".. so you don't have to break your flow.... and to be honest it's not always the Snake or DILY... some times its the night only joking... Theres some very knowledgeable people on the scooter scene...but thats another thread...

I love it when people ask for requests and they don't know the title... I always ask them to sing it.. and on several occasions i've called mates over as well to see if they know it..

theres a white label Baby have mercy knocking about as well... think there are a few... one on the BOOT label as well...

yeh I did as well.. £15 is nothing .. also since selling my keep on holding on.. on a 5 series i've never replaced it.. so job done ltd edition motown release..

In clips of Jackie singing he does have some good foot moves, but wonder if a lot was to do with the fact in the old days you wasn't allowed to move to much of your body about!!!! I remember seeing a clip once of Frankie lymon and the teenagers dancing... incredible.. 2 of them were doing the splits while one stood in the middle and bounced them up and down like a yo yo...

I've seen a few people out... that look like they are dancing to some thing differnt to the rest of the room...as if they have headphones on... it may be a midtempo track and they are stomping away... or a stomper and they are just moving side to side.... i think what we need is cattle prongs things on the dance floor... some one comes on with a beer ZAP... to much talc ZAP... really ugly... ZAP ZAP :o)
