yeh hand luggage in case they 1/ go walkies 2/ some idiot drops your case 3/ it get crushed under all the others.. when we went rimini because of all the security I emailed the airline Easy Jet and got them to email me back, which they did saying I could carry my records as hand luggage as long as they wasn't bigger than the size allowed. don't think you would get a way with a box of 50 12"s but I had a box of 70 45's in a record box in side another bag that was sutible for hand luggage.

I was recomended a record of hes a couple of years ago "Too Late" so I found a copy and bought it blind as it was recomended by a good source, found a Canadian issue on ebay and was well pleassed with me self.. waited for the postie to deliver it... all excited put it on the decks... intro kicked in and ........... terrible record....

After all this and now its coming out on a KENT CD... I feel used and dirty now by a marketing scam

Helen I can't answer your question sorry as I only ever put my head in the modern rooms .. laugh at the dancers and then run away But have you ever been in the modern room at Stoke or Prestatyn they are far from empty.. myself I rather have across the board nights.. that way I get to hear new tunes coming at me from all differnt angles.. at the last Farnbourgh I played a couple of 2007 releases in my set along with some 60's and then bits in between thats how I like venues to be..

tell you one thing if your breaking a record look at the hype you can get even before most people have heard it out..

Ok what about the poor sod that was given a record to play and being told it was an original, then half way through some one comes up behind the decks and takes the arm of the record.. "I stopped the record and took it off" I take it the room would have gone quite and the dancers would have all looked to see what was going on. is that resonable behavior? are we as dj's now allowed to interfear with each others sets? seems that Rob Thomas may have been out of order but is James any better in the eyes of the other dj? and if your going to answer yes its fine to take off a record if its a boot or a carving.. then you are going to have records stopping and starting all over the country..

Well thats your answer to why he done it then... "I had it ten years ago, I'll do what I want". More to the point you took it off whilst the other dj was playing it.. did you take it off while it was still playing?

I'm not saying bootlegs should be played.. and that is my view, and I will always stick by that.. but if Rob Thomas knew you had the "Original Acetate" which you say he does and he knew you was djing then it sounds personnal, and you need to sort it out with him.. is your acetate an orignal or taken from hes tapes? if its the original then you need to speak with him.. only he can answer why he gave it to the other dj before you went on. No one on here can answer for him can they?

Can understand you not being very happy, but is this really a question for a forum.. surely its seems personal for you and Rob Thomas to sort out. more to the fact if he was there why diddn't you sort it out then and there?
