  6. I've been sorting out my records today puting them in my new storage box's and amonst other things, I came across a copy of Leon Haywood Baby Rconsidor on Fantasy UK demo.. now I probably only paid a pound for it some where, at some stage.. but just wondered is it a legit UK issue.. shame it wasn't a Fat Fish one.. suppose then I would have known I had it... /Leon-Ha...der-t75327.html

  8. I don't nderstand some of these threads - last week we had to many do's on, everyone wants to be a dj, some thing about promoters... Now we are saying we don't want to be an over 40s club night for tourist who want to get out.... and sell tea towels and mouse mats.. Sometimes if I haven't been out for a week or 2 and my only contact apart from playing my records is Soul Source (which I admit i'm adictied to.. ) and the threads are negative i feel negative.. I mean if you haven't been out how can you be negative about the scene? I sometimes feel we on here (me included) are to negative, and wind each other up.. Dave Morris started a thread a week or so ago thanking dealers who he bought records off.. and a few people made comments, it was a good thread.. when you read it you smiled... it left yo posative but didn't change your life in any way... I think lately the Problem is "all about the soul" has become a busy forum, but it has become a soap box where people seem to moan a lot... and then everyone else joins in.. you read it and it leaves you negative... and sometimes you can be taken in by somebody who you agreeing with only to find out they have beef with with some one else... and that is why they started the thread in the begining... We need more posative threads on here.. do you know when I go out I don't care if there are tourst there as long as they respect the no drinking on the dance foor.. I don't care if there are youngsters there as long as they are not sliding along on thier knees on the dance floor... all I care about is that, the music is played off originals (and yes that does bother me) - and the dj's are not playing for there selfs... thats it.. give me the floor and i'm away...

  20. Tony Galla's in love - awesome record great dancer as well.. Hope you find one witha decent price tag... anyone got an up to date boot guide what does it say in there about it?
  21. Well thety turned up today.. 10 boxes to get me self started.. Trouble is I never really thought about it, I should have got them in differnt colours - red Motown - blue 70's - green R'n'B and so on.. Sad I know and I feel i'm in a differnt league to a train spotter Thanks for that Chalky they look like they will do the job.. They measure 8.5 inches in side so a bit of play not a problem if you are keeping them in doors but maybe not good if your taking them out to sell records out of.. How sad am I i'm looking forward to staying in Saturday niight now
  22. Spacehopper maybe we should start a new thread.. but I feel this has grown out of the thread so should be ok.. A few few years ago (sounds like a start to star wars... in a galaxy blah blah blah) a friend of mine was the first dj to play-push Nolan Porter (Only be sure) at scooter do's and rally's. it used to kill the floor.. the scooter crowd thought it was rare.. and never danced to it... now how many times do you get asked for it? yes there are the combats and boots brigade out there but every record they like and dance to they had to hear for the first time once!!! its not educating them its helping them to enjoy there evening so it won't get boring... yes its true....a great tune but i sometimes wonder if it would have been so popular (at scooter do's) if a certain mr weller hadnt covered it !....there are those that would request the birdie song if hed done a version of it ! according to books(as im too young too have been there myself) in the early/mid seventies even tunes like ann sexton and bob relf cleared the floor at soul events for the first few weeks ....fear of the unknown...a human condition ! The time Weller covered it, it was already over played at scooter do's..
  23. Frankie Valli the Night 3002 is quite rare isn't it? I remember John Manship having one in auction a few months a go..
  24. No was trying to break you if it was on hold still
