Me - 10 years ago!!!! For my scooter club, we put on a charity ride out and in the evening a free do.. free do meant no real dj's but we talked Jim Cox into doing a set for us (Ska) and a member of my club said he would do the rest.. any way the club members lent him what records and LP's we had.. all was fine until he went off in his own little world and played "its all in the game" followed by some thing else along them lines any way people started moaning and being the club No1 I had to sort it, so he walked off left me there... looking back wish he hadn't would have saved me a lot of money and yes i still get nervous i've always thought when it becomes the norm for me then it wouldn't be the same... most nervous i've ever been.. an all dayer in London Herbal.. my spot was between Keb Darge and Brian Rae... but it all went well....

Hammer not easy playing off a CD as not that many venues have CD players, so if the track is CD only chances you get to play it out are slim..

not aimed at you, if you play them indoors thats the same as me playing the free CD i got at a do for being one of the first 50 in... I never gave that back and said have you paid royalties on this

if you want one cut have one cut... but don't play it out and try to pass it as a real one, thats unfair to the dj that owns a real one... and sorry as far as royalties goes... yeh we know whats right but...have you every done a Tape up for a mate, or done a CD for someone... or even down loaded a tune off soul source that you haven't got... isn't there a cd swap thread some where, how we sorting out the royalties on all them CD's.. I don't agree with companys selling the stuff but knocking one up your self... we have all done it in one way or the other.. ever bought an album and only taped one track off it for the car!!!

Sharon Jones "what condition my condition" I just bought this off Mr Manship...Its a ltd edition Sharon Jones version of Betty Lavettes -- my condition etc..John lists it on his site as a fan club only 45.. but for a £10er cheaper than Bettys and its a nice version..Bloody long title to fit on a 45!!!!!

oh thats alright then... i'll be quite, cause for a minute I thought if they was made here in the UK then shiped out to the US and then flown back and the CD's were still cheaper than buying them in the UK, well its not right is it..

No i'm not ing... and i'm not having a go at anyone.. I just think its really bad, that a UK based record company can sell CD's cheaper in the US than they can here... I know its probably tax.. Before I moan anymore are Kent cd's made in the UK?
