Northern soul collecting!! Is it a con?
When I bought soul bros inc 10 years back I was told i overpaid and would never get my money back, now there 4 X the amount. The answer is knowing when the bubble will pop. If you sell just before then NS records are a great investment but if you sell after the big bang then you fooked it. imo

How Many Known Copies Of Arthur Willis?
I wasn't aware of Butch playing it before Rix / Thomas but was aware of talk that he didn't own a copy until he proved otherwise. So I presume Butch had it but didn't play it out much if at all. Top tune - If I had it i would play it every day and twice on Wednesdays

How Many Known Copies Of Arthur Willis?
This is what I always thought the story was. Andy Rix bought the first known copy, he and Rob Thomas played it out and made it a desired sound. This copy eventually got sold to Mick H There was talk that Butch didn't have one until he proved all skeptics wrong and played it (100 Club I think) so now there are two. (He may of had it first - Who knows) A third copy turned up in Blackpool and was sold to Sam. Number four was Gained by Mark Hopes from a USA record source of his. Now there is one on eBay - If its not one of the above then there is five + all the others I haven't heard of All the above is my version and counts for sod all Mick

which was your fave unreleased?
It was played by Andy Rix and Rob Thomas for a few years. The present owner is on SS. I'm off for a few days and will put part of the track up when I return for you unless I get messaged by the present owner. Mick

Billy Woods about to go on sale
I had a chat with JA about this record about two years ago. He said he got a call from Sussex PR man and he had a record that was just the kind of thing that J was looking for. They met but none of them had a record player so J couldn't listen to it - he took a gamble and bought about 8 copies for a dollar each. The PR man said the label was doomed and whatever J didn't buy would go in the dumpster.

Any thoughts on this unknown?
This was on a cd that Rob Thomas gave me about 10 years ago. I can confirm it wasn't the best track on there.
