Baz being a big rugby fans as have had many chats about rugby league and a die hard ST HELENS supporter and proud of it . Just wish his taste in rugby was a good as his record collection and be a RHINO but we all have our crosses to bear . Long live the spirit of Lowton was a special place for me and made so many great friendships there including baz, always been there if needed anything including a dancefloor... seriously one of life true gentleman and always been about quality and love of scene. Looking forward to 12 hours of top quality music in each of room. £10 for 12 hours of music and 21 djs if that's not value for money I don't know what is in my opinion. Wish other promoters worked as hard as him . That's the end of rant or opinion see you there people

This is only my own opinion but where else would you get 21 djs all with top draw original vinyl collection and tastes for £10 and open for 12 hours . To me the scene has had it to cheap for far to long just my opinion, Great venue plenty of parking. It's not even a £1 an hour. To many local events in every town in the country that are less than average this event has something for everyone musically and for one will be there with the usual reprobates. If you love soul music don't miss this one of the best night's where at Lowton over the years . People need to more with there ears and not there wallets . Some events it's more expensive for a pint of lager than entry fee . Rant over but had to vent as baz moves heaven and earth to put these nights on a deserves the support. The spirit of Lowton is still alive in me and not missing this event that's for sure, hopefully see you there all the best Pete

Where do you begin ? I can hand on heart say I've never had a bad night at Ashton. Great venue great music but most of all the amount of real proper like minded folk be treat to the records played was unreal. Top night and good to catch up with a few old mate and new ones. Best club for me in the North of England that without a bought. I special as for the staff they are unreal and volunteers to stand serving us. The amount of djs and quality has been 1st class hats off to them all bring on the new year

What a top night from start to finish. Music was the usual top draw QUALITY soul music . Great atmosphere and a room full of knowledgeable likeminded folks. Hats of to Baz and the grumpy team for one of the stand out nights on the soul calender 5 stars from me .

Got to say this is my 2nd visit and the venue is superd and wonderful staff as for the music a perfect mix of all things soul it was a refreshing change. Friday was excellent great bunch of people and friends. Saturday night was unreal music was sublime every dj went down a storm and dancefloor always busy all in a wonderful weekend hats of to Karl and the boys for all there hard work and highly recommended any future events 10/10

Looking forward to this. Catch up with a few old friends and enjoy a top draw line up spinning great memories.

Got to say to hear music of such quality not a bad record allnight every dj were in find form as for butch what else can be said about him that's not been said. The records he found are the list is unreal Richard was great and still a top dj but not playing new discoveries where as butch has from day one. Hats off and hope he returns was a special night a buzzing atmosphere definitely HOT STUFF. Best club going for me hands down . All that for a Price of a pint it beggers belife £5

Great to see Baz back in the main room always enjoy your sets pal and about time in my opinion as well as the resident djs.

Missed the last one due to ill health but heard nothing but great reports from my friends that attended. Moved the family holiday which went down well. Looking forward to see some old friends and relive some awesome memories of Tony's. Can't wait.

What a top weekend from start to finish. Superb venue and music was superb. Well done to the promoters and djs for making it happen 10 out of 10 from me .
