  4. If it's only by txt Harry, then don't take it too seriously, it's just a stupid threat, the only official way is a legal letter that explains the legal technicalities and normally send by post/email or maybe mailtrain, not by text Willie

  11. Love this kinda stuff, i've got a cd by The Volumes, from "doo-wop" to "northern soul", it's got 'I just can't help myself', one way lover', 'my road is the right road', you put a spell on me', a fantastic ballad 'a way to love you' and many more great tune's. I recommend this Drew. The cd is Chex Records crcd-1002 Willie
  12. I agree Paul, some of them are very well done and great sitting down in the toilet reading material (I mean that in a good way) , but I have to go with the dj line up and also word of mouth. Your friend's know what you like and recommend that venue. I love trying out new venue's and the flier might be superb/basic, but I alway's look at what kind of do is advertised and who the dj's are before I decide to go. It has also gotta do 'what it say's on the tin'. Willie
  13. Thou shalt not get the white powder mixed up, thus putting talc in your gob and w*** on the froor. amen
  14. I have two copies of THE FANTASTIC FOUR - 4444 both on British Tamla Motown , both rare but the mono one the rarest
  15. I got the French Lp last year, I rate his version 'baby your time is my time' and his version of the 'woo-woo' song is also good. Willie

  20. Totally agree Toby, I've already asked a mate (who is a lot younger than me) if I pop my clogs at a venue to leave me until the lights go on, thats when I normally leave anyway, and also put my ash's into a bottle of talc...............enough said . Hope it's a wee while yet. Willie
  21. I Had great pleasure in meeting Pomo a few times, last time was at Prestatyn, nice guy who loved soul music and liked a laugh, top man. Have a great time at the big soul venue in heaven, meeting and signing along with some of the greats, Marvin, Sam, Otis, Linda, and all the rest. Your with the best. RIP Willie
  22. Pat, can't those punters who went, and some of the folk on here, grasp the point, there was no mention of northern/oldies on the flyer, it does what it say's on the tin. (see above). if people wanted to go to a oldies night ie, wigan revival, fancy dress n' all, they should read the flyers properly before making fool's of themself's The true soulie who travel's load's of mile's, who want's to learn and to hear new sound's 'dont want them around, they live in the past 'wigan this 'wigan that. Sod Em. Move On. ( not having ago at all the ex wiganers, just the one's that live in the past). Keep at it Tony, these folk are the minority, they don't travel, they don't want to move on. BUT WE DO. Willie
