  11. Just pure pure, class, a sad loss.
  12. Think it might be on a kent CD. Andy, it's on the recent Kent cd, 'New Bread with added popcorn'.
  13. It's repeated tonight on bbc4 at 11.15pm, with the tour concert on afterwards at 1.10am. Willie
  14. Nice post Val, i'm the same as when I started in 1967, in this scene for the duration because of my love of black soul music, and I welcome the younger one's, and i'm very happy to pass on any info that i've aquired over the year's to them Willie
  15. Joan, when my friend's and I started going to the wheel in about 1967, there were few oldie's about to get any info, the only way we gained any knowledge was to talk, listen and learn among ourself's and other folk's from different place's, and we learned slowly but surely, the one thing that still stand's out tho, was that we all shared, we helped each other out, also later on we did'nt look down at newbie's as they came to join us, we welcomed them. Each piece of knowledge was new to everyone once, and everyone was a newbie once. Willie
  16. Dave, my first time on this site, I am am a bit of a numbskull regarding anything IT, but I found it very easy to use, very informative, sound clip's, everything is there. I clicked on the number of item's on the page, then the section I wanted and away I went, great, better than some of the one's i've used before, I will definitely use this site . Willie ps, Sean (above) has a valid point tho.
  17. Pete a nice 60's slowie played at 78rpm
  18. Disgraceful, i'm pleased that you named and shamed the guy Katie, i've stopped buying from ebay due to similar problem's. Willie
  19. Good Thread, don't think so Dave, in our scene it make's no difference what so ever, i'm 58 and i've got very good friend's (soulies) age of 21 who run an alnighter, but I don't think that happen's anywhere else in the music scene........not like the extent of what the northern & r&b folk's do. I might be wrong tho. Willie
  20. Yeah steve, everyone put post's in to compliment Winsford and that they will miss the place, and he posted that comment, WHY. Willie
  21. Hi mate, 'a litttle', infringement of copyright I think, Lol
