  1. It's all about how much the buyer wants the record and how much torture they are willing to apply to get it eeeeeem still working on Thelma think we may have to go pasteeeeeeeeel on this one lollo xxx Seriously I guess JM detrmines a sort of price guide , then there is the demand factor and then there is Greed. At the end of the day you pays your money and make your choice. For example 3 little pigs look how silly that went. Didn't go for 150 at one point because of demand ? Sister James was another one that comes to mind. And look at my top want Brenda Jones I don't stand a cat in hells chance of getting one within the price I think is fair because every man his dog wants one now.
  2. Cheers Matt , I have seen this footage before , but it was nice to see it again. Tonys was my first allnighter , it will always be special to me , those stairs and Dust my broom banging out ..makes one quiver a fab venue . Loved the ballet room upstairs seeing the two Niges and pulling someone's beard and saying .... browny it's growing ! Heady days of KTF when we travelled around like a travelling circus full of very interesting and different people and the cool thing to say was ... Are you on the list ?
  3. Mr B i am shocked you a wheel boy too , not a brazen one then Sonny boy Williamson ...heeeeeeelp me as for you browny I shall sort you out at the weekend . torture in velcro for you. Ok being seriious LADS i need your address or an address to send the Cd's to . 4 of you have not given me address details so far. Not many women into this do you think R&B is a maaaayne thing I nice mint copy of Possem belly overalls is on the list for those that like to venture to the edge and a rarely seen connesure type Little willie John that I had to fight tooth and nail for three years ago.
  4. As a result of an posting to an old post and it making me address something I have been meaning to do for some time , thining some tunes from my boxes of which are in the main R&B I will be compiling a CD of actual sales , full tracks ( might have to do this in three installments ) . I have had a few guys contact me with regards to wanting to see my sales , so I will keep you all updated by just posting to this thread when I have had the time to finish the list and CD. I am not in any rush and Christmas is coming so be patient, PM me if anyone else likes the darkside and might like the CD/list. Cheers Carms

  10. This is such an awesome record , has to be in my top 3 whoever gets this for 700 dollars is a very lucky person . I know this is a bit anoraky but it's really nice to admire the label , both side s too.
  11. Does the lyrics Your'e messin up my mind , and toss and turn all night come into the puzzle Simon

Soulful and slow: Brenda Jones- Big Mistake Sharon Ridley - Where did you learn to make love Dancers & Heart thrillers : Rees Fores - Look into my Heart Step it up - Bamboos featuring Alice Russel Recharged oldie Jackie Wilson - I've lost you Felice Taylor - I can feel your love .............................WHAT AN INTRO ! It should have been released ! Steve Mancha - Unyielding
  13. I used to have mine on a spreadsheet when I first started collecting Allocated nuymber Artist Title label Genre and price ! I used to get such a shock when I added up what had been spent . It was a great I could organize it aphabetical order and number order . If I wanted to find a sound It was dead easy. I stopped after 5 years and got a life I once saw browny open a 300 box and go straight to a record he was looking for ? now that is cool
  14. It's an awesome track Bret . I couldn't believe why it was never released ? I had one done at VC's which I have played at a dayer when there was only five of us in the room , didn't bother anyone it not being a real release. Well it was the only way it was going to be heard Loud as we don't do Cd's ... next best thing was my own cut copy. I just love the intro , wish someone would do a proper release , have you heard My imagination ? don't think that was released either ? A good contendender for a future 100 club sound I think.
  15. I think it's great that so many are doing charity events now. It shows we have compasion for our fellow human beings. I do sometimes wonder if all that is collected be it in an old rusty tin or at an event does actually end up with the charity concerned. It's so easy to be dishonest in this situation because we are all generally so trusting to part with spare money for a good cause. My personal view is that I would only like to see charity events allowed to advertised in this forum as a charity event if they actually commit to saying that they will show you the reciept when the money is past to the charity. Also i think they should stiplulate if any upfront expenditure will be deducted from the anticipated proceeds. Dead easy reallly just be clear about the financing , then people can decide if they want to support it. It needs a few rules
  16. Warren I hope you have flipped that 4 Pros over before you sell it. You must be maaaaaaaaaad !
  17. Anyone got one to sell ? It has a track on the flip I've been hurt by love ..its british , got a thingy in the middle and on a purply pink label I think Carms
  18. Skymark .... Ladies should always go first , so get in line I want one too with a passion. I think it's a superb sound , it keeps nipping at my heels
  19. Having a look at some of the flyers in the flyer gallary we have got some very talented people in artistic design amongst us. Who would you give the top flyer artist award to for 2009 ? Mine would go to Maria and her boomerang flyers , they always thrill. I love the trade mark of the little red record box.

  22. Our two tickets held over from the played from the heart charity event will be going up on ebay on Thursday , good luck to whoever wins , starting price will be the ticket values. WON PRIZE Donated BACK because they are unable to attend , thanks to Chris and Celia Lemons Carms x
  23. Lots of effing lol ..that made me laugh , you have to listen to stepping up in refro soul , you will love it ! what a great intro Hope to see you out and about soon I'll make sure a Funk compilation is in my handbag. Carms x
  24. If they are good friends I would give them one more chance of paying or returning the record. I would also learn from the experience and have a sign up on my sales box in the future saying No credit ! I would hate to loose a good friend in such circumstances , maybe they are in financial difficulties and are a little embarrased to admit it ? If you are just getting a brick wall ...then its name and shame to protect other dealers
