  1. Thought this started off "There's a girl I really want to meet....." ?
  2. Got To Find A Way Out - The Mar-J's
  3. Anything by: Bud Harper The (Blue)Belles The Blossoms Lily Fields (there's a pun in both first name and surname!) Rose Valentine Dorothy Berry Holly(hock) Maxwell Jimmy Bo Thorne And: Sandy Wynns: A Touch Of Venus Fly-trap Mary Love: You Turned My Bitter Into Sweet-Peas Martha & THe Vandellas: Forget Me Not The Sequins: Acacia Love
  4. Possibly.............especially when you spell Lana backwards!
  5. Best reminder at 16 was "Echo Beach" by Martha & The Muffins
  6. Completely agree Ian!
  7. Think it was originally covered up as The Magicians.
  8. Which also has its place in music history Pete. Alvin Stardust liked the intro so much, he used it on "My Coo-Ca-Choo"!
  9. I'd take a safe guess at £50 for an issue, and £80+ for a demo.
  10. Yes - it has been said that it is. Macca bought it off John Duff Lowe (another member of the Quarrymen) about 15 years ago for an "undisclosed sum". Probably wouldn't fit into this category though - it's a 10" 78 RPM acetate.
  11. Pete's successfully ironed a record (as he's said here and in a previous thread), but I prefer to stick to the old "if it ain't broke don't fix it" addage. If dished records play OK, best to leave them as they are, rather than risk damaging them further. Removing warps of any kind is a very touch-and-go process.
  12. Here y'are then................courtesy of Popsike.
  13. Nick Brown has (or had) the "World" misprint with exactly the same run-out (ie, about 5 revs worth of groove). He bought this in 1989. Definite original demo IMO.

    R & B

With the influence such "R&B" has on today's youngsters, it probably stands for Robbin' & Burglin'. It is a bloody nerve that this should be termed R&B. It's NOT rhythm, and it's definitely NOT blues! It's not even original any more - how many tracks can you spot that have sampled other artistes' backing tracks? The chavs who lack total musical talent, who think they can string a few words together to make a four-letter word rhyme about blasting their mates' brains out with a shooter, should be forced to give up the R&B term - THEY DON'T DESERVE IT!
  15. That's interesting Mark - yours is a defo original. Wonder if they all have RE scratched into the run-out? And where's John when you need him! Curioser and curioser, as Alice said............................
  16. My own copy Mark! Although I did hear an inkling a year ago that it was legit (can't remember where though - may have been a forum topic here).
  17. The black print copies are second issues (as far as I'm aware). The matrix will have 'RE' scratched in after the number. If truth be told, I'm led to believe that these are legitimate US second issues taken from the original stamper.
  18. No point - PayPal customer services don't give a shit about their customer concerns.
  19. Flip of the Tri-Ode issue is "Too Much Of A Good Thing" (no, not the Ambassadors classic!)
  20. The man himself...........
  21. Thanks for the help Dave. Have to say I really like the track! Can't recall seeing the pic sleeve for it though.
  22. Anyone got a rough idea what "I Wish I Knew How It Would Feel To Be Free" by the Billy Taylor Trio on Tower goes for? It's best known as the theme to Barry Norman's "Film..." series on BBC during the 70s and 80s but, somehow, it's begun to appear on a few funk-type playlists and comps. Strange really for a jazz record.....but each to their own! Help please????
  23. This member...........is NO MORE! He has ceased to be! He's NARU'd (and about time!).
  24. He can't even spell "dildou" right!
