My personal scream fave is "I Put A Spell On You" by Screaming Jay Hawkins. Just screams all the way through - according to a sleeve note, Hawkins and his backing band were in an "advanced state of drunkenness" at the recording session!

I hate defaced or written labels. Really brings down the value of a good soul record. Like the copy of "Hit & Run" I've seen - some idiot obviously bought it for her boyfriend and wrote "To Mike - love, Rose B " on it. Wouldn't give £10 for it in that condition. And that copy of Frank Wilson that has two names written on the label, yet sold for a high five-figure sum recently???? Beggars belief...........

I'm not here to do anyone any favours when it comes to selling records. I'll list them for what I f***ing want, take it or leave it. As I say, I don't sell records as a charitable cause - I want the best price I can get for them, without unscrupulously ripping anyone off. Bear in mind I'm not a full-time dealer - just someone who sells to make room in their collection or sometimes needs the money.

There's a third possible problem Pete - just imagine the crowd of people coming forward with their copies of "In The Mood" or "Pensylvania 6-5-000"! Oops - sorry, Minit got in there before me!!!!

I'm glad the seller put a soundbyte of the B-side as well - never heard it before. Nice though - very much like Shake & Fingerpop.
