  1. I did - what's a "bottom feeder"?
  2. Yes, but it's not quite the same when it plays "I'm In The Mood For Dancing" by the Nolan Sisters (no I'm not saying"I tried it and it didn't work...."!!)
  3. My current Al Reed "Let Me Know" cover-up still has people guessing (wrongly!). Gene
  4. Nick had one for sale when he brought his sales box round to my flat 3 weeks ago - probably worth asking him to see if he still has it Ian. Gene

    Ebay Prat?

Sorry James, but being completely impartial and looking at it from both sides, did either of you contact each other after the auction? Ebay rules do stipulate that the buyer and seller should contact each other 3 days after the auction closes. On the other hand, if he played by the book, he should have just filed an Unpaid Item Dispute, if he was that concerned. He shouldn't have left you a neg until after trying to sort it out with you directly. I know I sound a bit hypocritical after my last Ebay escapade, so forgive me. Good news BTW - the neg was removed, and I now have a 100% positive feedback count again!
  6. The system currently in use: M - Excellent, played a few times EX - Very Good + VG - Good - G - This was a record?
  7. Bought his first UK LP "The Jimmy Ruffin Way" from a boot fair for 50p a few months back! Nice and rare, but nothing really ground-breaking, other than "World So Wide, Nowhere To Hide".
  8. I love this! Very underrated, but highly recommended - and £15 (or less) well spent.......
  9. Don DeLuca I believe. At least three other decent slabs of soul were released on the label: Chiquita; "Yeah Yeah Yeah" Chiquita: "Father In Law" Otis Bush; "So Much Love"
  10. Nice to know that I'm not alone on this then! What's so sad about it?
  11. My sentiments entirely Pikey - just that I didn't want to be the first person to say so!
  12. Unissued acetate as far as I know. Possible that Nick Brown owned this during the early '90s, as I have it on a tape from him around 1991-1992. Apart from that, I know nothing else about the origins or whether it is actually Bobby Sheen.
  13. And talking of errors replicated from one book to another, there's "You're My Everything" (sic) by Sandy Golden on Masterpiece. Amazing just how many other sources quote it as this. Of course, those in the know will realise that the correct title is "Your Love Is Everything"..........according to various accounts/reviews of it, 'not many people know that'!!
  14. I've seen it going for as much as £390 - and the cliche ending in "soon parted" always comes to mind.
  15. ROLF..............erm I mean ROFL!
  16. and that's why she's known as Sticky!
  17. About £50 methinks..............
  18. Well, if Charley Pride could do it..............
  19. I'd no idea "Itsy Bitsy Teeny Weeny Yellow Polka Dot Bikini" was ever played on the scene!!
  20. Only came out in the UK without the intro, as far as I know. Released on the Capitol "Discotheque '67 Series" - Dead End Street/Yes It Hurts, Doesn't It
  21. I would hate to think what the other 199 singles are!
  22. Nancy Butts has now been sold..........
  23. Sorry! Decided not to sell the Joe Simon after adding it to my title!
