Not the shortest but quite short is the Trey J's "I Found it All In You" at around 1:50, great track but wish it went a little longer.

Articles: The Greatest Record Finds Of All Time 2008
Hakenig replied to Ian Dewhirst's topic in Front Page News & Articles
Great thread, fascinating to read this sort of stuff. My perspective is a little different - I grew up in Philadelphia (just blocks away from where the C.R.S. label was located) and got into soul by the early 90s, by which time I was in my late teens/early 20s, then moved to D.C. for quite a few years. I don't have any amazing stories to add, have always looked hard for 45s up and down the eastern seaboard and generally just bought small amounts at a time, never ran into big loads of quality stuff (but plenty of big loads of junk that produced a few gems after many hours/days of digging through 'em)......you guys surely got to a lot of it before I was old enough to be really heavily into it But yeah there's still stuff out there for sure, and the thrill of the hunt is very addictive. I has an internship at Sigma Sound Studios in the 80s, it was part of a school project and I worked there for about a month, but I was too young and completely oblivious to what had happened there in the 60s & 70s, and clueless about soul in general as I was just 15 or so......I can only imagine what sort of records I could have bought had I asked around at the time!! Thanks again for the awesome stories!! -

Hakenig replied to Hakenig's topic in Website Sales
one day left on these, some extremely rare 45s, please check them out if you have not already - thanks! -
Yeah, mine looked just like the scan above (black writing, blue label issue copy). I've never seen a reissue/boot of it, personally. The flip is a really nice group harmony track, for sure.

Hey guys, thanks a lot for the good words and for your confidence - Nev especially that was very cool of you, it's much appreciated. I consider myself a straight-up guy and this was a very unusual instance (the first time actually) where this sort of thing happened. Thanks again
-
the Curtan 45 has been removed, other two still available.
-
I didn't realize this would generate such a discussion! I've reduced a couple of the 45s a bit. Anyone who's dealt with me knows I'm an honest guy. I do not want to misrepresent anything I sell, ever. I never really offer stuff like this, but am trying to sell these on behalf of a friend. So it seems like the Curtan 45 is an out-and-and boot (albeit one which has some demand, apparently). Thanks.
-
I thought this was a reasonable price considering what it's sold for in the past.
