I've been amazed at how much this has sold for in the last year or so, I've had quite a few copies over the years and always let them go for around $50 or so but that was between 3-10 years ago, not surprisingly I have not seen any in the wild recently though.

think I have a clean copy of Barbara Lynn if anyone still needs one.

A little late here, but yes that was my copy on that auction, I soundclipped both sides actually, although my habit of putting both sides onto one clip may not be the best idea! Seems like there's only a small handful of these out there, I have one spare but other than Pete's and another one sold in the past (a Manship auction, I think) I've never seen it offered elsewhere.

I know of at least one pale blue Cotique, it's Bessie Banks "Go Now", with Linda Jones "Fugitive From Luv" on the flip, Cotique 177, have only seen promos of this one.

There's one other 45 I know of, "Cuba" on Cotique 163, certainly their rarest, and good although to most ears probably not quite up there with "Love Doll".

Fantastic track, I let mine go 2-3 years ago (probably the same copy you guys are talking about), never saw another one before that or since.

Ha ha, yeah, That's Life is a cool one.....I now seem to remember the flip of the extended vers. of Meditation actually having two tracks (like an EP) - although perhaps Meditation was not extended after all, but there was something unusual about that copy, I wish I could find it. Anyhow I'll agree it is still pretty common here in the States, one of the easiest Cotique singles to find.

I think there's an extended version as well (perhaps with an alternate flip as mentioned above by Des). I thought I had a copy of the extended one but I just looked everywhere and cannot find it, am sure I had one at some point though.

It's hard to do on the odd stuff unless you've seen it sell before, so for me auctions are the best way to go assuming there's at least one decent tune on there (highly subjective of course)!
