  15. 2nd what Steve says Gilly my man, everything has been put on hold, manufacturing, retail, corperate and commercial, so don't stress lad, we can't wait, but we'll bloody have to love to you and Nic x
  16. Plenty on Discogs Neil, great album btw
  17. Great stuff Mr Gilbert, like a whole bunch of folk, can't wait, btw, loved your 45 minutes set on mixcloud, great music (as expected) and banter Kev x
  18. Yep, I was watching Mike, and the thought that was permanently in my head was "shit, this actually happened " The Dramatics involvement was obviously a massive selling point as far as folk on here are concerned, but take that away, its still a great thought provoking, educating, in depth insight into what was actually going down back in the racially charged melting pot of 60s USA Kev
  19. That's a key point, nearly everything is in collections, not much turning up on hunting trips to the States anymore, if you really want summat, you got to persuade the current owner to part, the "going rate" is finished, and has been for ages, as is "books for" . It's worth whatever someone is prepared to go to, forget "the scene" I reckon most people who pay these prices are collectors who don't go anywhere or give a toss, same with the Sweet Soul collecting, through the roof, no signs of tailing off either Kev
  20. People are always displaying their astonishment at the prices the auctions are fetching, nothing has surprised or astounded me with what is being paid for the last few years, the landscape has totally changed, the "going rate" no longer applies, and hasn't for a while, same as the term "books for" as with everything, supply and demand, these items aren't 20 years old anymore, more like 40 or 50+ years old, most stuff is auction, or private transaction through social media, Popsike isn't a reliable performance indicator either as only auction sales apply, it's down to how much somebody desires a record, and how much they're willing to pay, the term "make me an offer I can't refuse" comes to mind in a lot of cases Kev
  21. Hi Steve, hope you're well my man, the way I look at it now is that "the going rate, book price etc" is done, and has been for a long time, a records worth, and we are talking now about 50/60 year old pieces, is what someone is prepared to pay, the days of pulling stuff out of sales boxes is over imho Kev
  22. Met him at Prestatyn many moons ago, lovely guy, ultra talented singer, writer and producer, R.I.P. Lou Kev
  23. The flip, "Your Love Is Like A High" is a very desirable record amongst the Californian Sweet Soul collectors and would change hands at a premium rate if it ever comes up, that probably explains the interest on Ebay, gem of a record IMHO Kev
  24. Will be at the book signing session at WH Smith my man, signed copy for me please, Count me in Kev
