  2. Clyde Mcphatter-Crying won,t help you now, Manhattans-Follow your heart, Friday, Saturday Sunday-There must be something, vision and taste, great stuff Kev
  3. The heartfelt reactions on here in the response to this awful news say it all, We,ve seen a lot of great artists pass away in the last few years but this has absolutely, genuinely levelled me. Just listen to his voice on "Give me just a little more time", the intensity and honesty just blows you away, then listen to "Our Love will grow" and better still "You are my everything" The man means it big time and leaves you drained after. "Don,t Walk Away" is just unbelievable for me, everything about it is the reason I am hooked for life to this incredible music, but especially at this moment, I defy anybody to be able to keep it together while listening to "Patches" Norman "General" Johnson R.I.P. I bet messr,s Taylor, Hampsey, Briscoe and Bully have something in line foe November 13th, The General and his likes epitomise the place. Kev
  4. Second that Tony, Great vocals (as you would expect) and the production is as tight as you like on all of them, great stuff indeed Paul. Kev
  5. He did the same thing with Cleveland Wilson (A.K.A O.C. Tolbert) "I,m Shooting High" Chalky at his Mansfield niter. On first hearing it I must admit I wouldn,t have minded iff he had played it 5 times. It had the effect on us lads from Aycliffe, by the 3rd time we were all up. Kev
  6. Alright Soul lovers All sent off today, hope you all enjoy, any type of feedback welcome lads Kev
  7. Can I get em from you Paul, direct, or are you distributing them to outlets, let me know purchasing details please, haven,t heard them yet but the buzz they are creating from the right people will do for me. Best Kev
  8. All copied and complete, will be sending out over the next few days, really enjoyed putting it together. Kev

  12. Way to go boys, count me in, must sat though, still playing through original batch, takes a long time to digest all of that great music properly, catching a few things second or third time around. Kev
  13. The Carltons-I,m a man/ Keep on holding-Argo Billy Stewart-What have I done-Chess Master Keys-Tears-Giuham David Ruffin-I wanna be with you-Warner Bro,s Anthony White-I,m so much in love with you-Philadelphia Int Kev
  14. Phil Perry in the modern room, Saturday afternoon at Prestatyn 2004 was very special, Womack in Manchester in 1984, saw David Ruffin, Dennis Edwards and Eddie Kendricks at Sunderland in 1991, all brilliant, Sam Dees at Thorne was fantastic, all the aforementioned were brilliant and rememberable, unwatered down, and leaving a "sound as good live as on record" feeling. Great stuff Steve, new to me, like I mentioned before, when you get away from the obvious stuff, most labels throw up some real soulful gems, maybe not quick enough for the dancefloor, but who cares, as long as its soulful, thanks Harry, glad you liked them. Kev
  16. Thanks Karen and Maria, been on thread, needless to say, great stuff. Kev

  24. Right then soulfreaks, thats all sent off now. This is no throw away statement when I say that all of the ones I have received so far have been awesome, I am playing the arse off all of em, every spare moment is dedicated to listening, I will send feedback to everyone soon, some great inspiration on all of them. Well done Rich, this is the music from the gods IMHO, and the yardstick when it comes to soul. Kev
  25. No need to feel humbled here Harry mate, all these guys are regular posters and are hungry for the tracks that are going to blow them away, no politics, no bullshit, its just gotta be soulful, thats the only thing thats compulsory, I have received 6, and this is no throw away statement, most of the stuff is so good, It,ll bring you to tears. Great credit to you Rich, a brilliant idea, I love all things soulful, but this is the real deal. Kev
