  1. Saw it last night Miff, what a performance from Russell Thompkins JR of the Stylistics, made the hairs on my back stand up, as a Falsetto, up there with Eddie Kendricks and Johnny Carter of the Dells IMHO Kev
  2. Hi Samantha You could throw in the Eunice Collins aswell to make a deal even more attractive Kev
  3. Could it possibly be the other Professionals who did that absolute gem "My Heart Belongs To You" on Action Pac Boba ? Kev
  4. Remember Rob playing a different take, it had a longer intro if I remember right, round about 1991 I think he got it, think I have it on a tape somewhere. Kev
  5. Its a long shot, but yiou could try Miss Goldie on here, she has one, but like anyone else who has it, its that good, they aint going to part with it easy Kev
  6. Absolutely Barry, slips into same groove as Steve, Tina and Steve, Bettye Swan, Bobby Sansom, et al, right up my street, love it Kev
  7. What a f-----g set add that to Steve Eedgar and Tina, thats some session Kev
  8. Turn it over Smudger Kev
  9. Turn it over Dean Kev
  10. James Dee, fantastic record, and starting to get noticed Kev
  11. Ditto that Manus, first time for me, great voice, plenty of big names in there, Wally Roker, Jerry Williams and Big Dee Irwin Kev
  12. The flip "True love is hard to find" is an incredible piece of soul music, absolute bargain, this will soar soon Kev
  13. Somebody buy Jo Jo and The Outcast, the flip is as good as it gets "Why Baby" Kev
  14. Yes Chalky, regular play in this house, although most if not all tracks are available on 45 Kev
  15. With reference to the Hesitations "Soul Superman" set, a great LP packed with great tunes, but don,t ignore the "Born Free" LP,this is also rammed with great tunes, great ballads for the soul room at home and some great movers for the dancefloor, check out "We Can Do It" great mover with as you would expect fantastic vocal performance from the guys Kev
  16. The side for me aswell Steve Kev
  17. Yes, remember one friday night at Prestatyn, in one of the small side rooms, myself, Gaz Simon and Kev Johnson sat in the leather seats that were supplied and listened and raved to one of Steve,s album sets, still talk about that night today. Kev
  18. I am sure Mike Charlton has done the odd album track only set before Mike Kev
  19. If you aint been, believe me, its the only way to spend a Sunday Kev
  20. All of the Ralphi Pagin stuff on Fania is great, not Northern, but oh so soulful. Kev
  21. Hi Paul Yes, the Wee Gee on Cat "Give a helping hand" regular play in my house, other side aswell Paul "Come to me" fantastic mover. I can,t find the album with "Hold on to your dreams" so I will have to get another one. Dells always brought into the debate when vocal groups are the subject of debate, guess you could say many people see them as the yardstick to compare with. Best Regards Kev
  22. Agree with the input so far, this could go on for a while, Boba, Steve, Paul etc have touched on the volume of quality stuff they put out.A couple worthy of a mention IMHO are "Don,t make me no promises" included in the great "Dells v Dramatics" set (also on a 7) and from the same album as "And I Panicked" "You Got Me Going Through A Thing" no matter what the tempo, these guys could handle anything, Brilliant !! Kev
  23. Wow! Boba, every show is a winner but this one, the best yet, I can think of at least a dozen lads who go on here (myself included) who will be sending Kim a marriage proposal, there goes one soulful lady. Great Stuff Kev
  24. Flip to "Come On Back" Boba, agreed, fantastic lyrics, fantastic record Kev
