  2. Bad news, but for once, someone has died at a decent age, R.I.P Joe. The Carnival sound is a distinctive iconic sound coveted by many collectors, I have around 30 on the label and love every single one of them, how many labels can you say that about, that oh so soulful deep sounding sax evident in many of the recordings always accompanied by great soulful vocals. Just listened to the show, fantastic (again) talk about saving the best until last, Nathan Bartell, brilliant, always wondered what the background music on the show was and thought, stick some vocals on top of that you could have a great record, and so it was proved by The Fuzz, Devilles sounded great, mine is the other version, perhaps you could play the flip on a future show Bob Kev

  23. Great post Richard, same here, love my records, but want CD,s from other peoples collections to hear new stuff, thing is, in this day and age we can go out and search for new stuff to listen to, either physically or by media rather than hanging on to what a DJ says and plays. Kev
