Remember myself and my mate Gaz Simon being at Martin Koppells unit on an industrial estate in Toronto full of records in 1989, some coloured guys had come up all the way from New York to buy soul records, Martin was playing them some records on a little deck, he then put on Darrell Banks "Open the door" I will never forget the reaction of these guys, whooping and high fives all round, its their music so to speak, yet it brought it home how we take incredible soul music for granted, "envy you the thrill of hearing it the 1st time" comes to mind Andy
